Located downtown, within the Magnificent Mile, the hotel links you to Blues, Jazz, shopping, irresistible cuisine, Grant and Millennium Parks, Lake Michigan beaches, Navy Pier and Michigan Avenue.
This hotel was awesome. So close to everything!!Comment of D. Ashley , United States the 2016-02-17
The customer service was fantastic! Had a great stay but the walls are a bit thin when people come and go or their phones ring.Comment of C. Karen , United States the 2016-02-17
Everone on the hotel staff was friendly and courtuous from the ballman to the desk clerks to the managers. Without even asking, they assigned me a handicapped room as they saw my difficulty walking.Comment of D. John , United States the 2015-07-21
Very nice rooms, accommodating and friendly staff. Great central location for shopping, museums and restaurants. We stay here every year during One of a Kind Show at Merchandise Mart.Comment of M. VICKI , United States the 2015-07-12
Very nice hotel in a good location with lovely views. Facilities were a bit limited for such a large hotel. I would have been good to have an indoor pool.Comment of D. Martin , United Kingdom the 2015-07-01

Had a great experience. Elevators seemed a little slow but what do you expect it's the largest hotel around :)Comment of L. Leigh , United States the 2014-07-01
Our room was ready upon check in. It was very clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful and made nice recommendations based on our questions. The location was perfect for our adventures - baseball/theater/biking.Comment of J. Janet , United States the 2014-06-06
Danach lief alles okay. Wir würden jederzeit wieder dieses Hotel auswählen.Comment of D. "Beware of this hotel"
If you want things to go missing from your room and the hotel claiming no responsibility stay here. Inappropriate in addressing concerns and absolutely did nothing about it. Do yourself a favor and find another chain of the lovely ones in Chicago.
"Good Rooms, Mediocre Front Desk Staff"
I had led a group of 7 to stay this hotel for a conference in late November and w e had booked 2 rooms. I had received a group rate for the rooms however at no point no one from the Hyatt staff had told me that there would be an additional $250 "security deposit" per room on top of the room rates and tax. I only found out about the additional cost when I went to check in for the second room and the staff told me that my card had been declined and again nobody had told me that the $250 deposit was on the first room so I was unaware that the hotel had charged me an additional fee. We also had an issue when it came to checking out because all the pending transactions that were on my credit card had ran out my credit line so I was unable to have a smooth check out. The location were very convenient to most if not all downtown Chicago areas and the Hotel rooms were nice and clean, the staff was professional but there still leaves a lot to be desired.
"Club Floor a Bonus"
Beautiful views of river and downtown and an easy walk to Millennium Park and the Christmas Lights of Michigan Avenue. Breakfast, snacks and evening buffet, designer coffee and well priced drinks. Nice rooms but really no difference from lower floor rooms.
This is the second time we have stayed here , we came back because the location is excellent, easy to drive to and easy to walk to , rooms are big and spotless. Valet staff are always very friendly and helpful- takes about 15minutes for your vehicle to arrive so call down first
"Limited in room amenities"
With Very little snow falling in Chicago on Sunday the tv went out for several hours. Called down to front desk ask if they had movie channels or other options available since we were in the room with two young kids I was told they only have satellite and sorry. Several hours later tv came back on. Also rooom service was quick and prompt however for same price for room service you get an extra side with your dinner where as at the restaurant they only gave you one. Parking is 65 dollars a day no in and out. Limited signs help you get to hotel and all navigation will send you to their parking garage not the hotel front lobby. If I had to go downtown for another conference at a neighboring hotel I will use this one again. Not ideal if you have family with you it is fully dedicated to adults and if your ok with getting glaring looks bring your kids downtown to this hotel.
