"Stayed before and would stay again."
Myself and my girl freind stayed here on the weekend. Check in was quick and easy and the staff seemed very welcoming. Our room was on the second floor. The rooms are fairly small but they are suitable for a short stay. We had a slight problem with our aircon as it was making an annoying noise even though we switched it off, so we had to take out out the main power card at night to stop it. Before our stay we informed the hotel about our Anniversary and they treated us to a glass of Prosecco each at the bar, which was a very nice touch. Would stay again for sure as it was good value.
We stayed at this hotel following the refurbishment to the public areas. I thought the refurbishment was well done and the breakfast layout was a vast improvement. We had an upgrade to a superior double at the front of the hotel. Although the rooms are small they have everything you need and are light and airy. The beds are so comfortable and I always sleep well here. Breakfast at the hotel is also very good and well worth paying that little extra. We will return again soon.
Stayed here over the week end after going to a concert. The hotel reception was friendly, Room was lovely and well appointed .Bed very comfortable ,we had a good nights sleep. The Breakfast catered for everyone's tastes,so much choice . The gentleman who asked if we had been there before, when we said no he took his time to show us all that was on offer .He then took us to our table .He was lovely even though he was very busy making sure the tables where cleaned and ready or the next customer, he is a credit to the hotel. The breakfast room gets very busy try getting in before 9am on the week end.
I enjoyed staying at this hotel for the location and the comfy beds. Staff were friendly but there were a couple of niggles. Every time we tried to phone front desk either from inside the hotel or out it took forever to get anyone to answer. Also in the rooms there was only a tiny waste bin in the bathroom. I would also expect in this category of hotel a tiny travel toothpaste, but there was none. Otherwise it is a comfortable and clean hotel conveniently located and the Marco Pierre White restaurant housed in the hotel is great. The staff are also very knowledgeable on the local area.
"Good location, staff &c. Won't go back !!!"
Two night stay. Clean, and comfortable. Staff friendly and efficient. But wouldn't stay again.... Like another recent reviewer, we were lucky enough to get checked in and a room allocated earlier than expected. Bonus. Good breakfast buffet with a selection of cold & cooked options that should be wide enough to feed anyone up for the day ahead. Enjoyed the location - close to the dock with its attractions and museums and to the main shopping areas and indeed to a good selection of bars and restaurants. And why we wouldn't go back... Temperature throughout is too high both in the public areas, including the restaurant and in the bedroom. We tried to reset the thermostat to a lower temperature but to no avail. Woke both nights way too hot to be comfortable. Second night there was a good deal of noise and commotion in the corridor outside the room. This carried on for some time and although it did eventually stop it had led to another disturbed night. I realise that this isn't the hotel's fault really, but it was not good enough. So many good points but the main reason to stay is to get a decent kip. We didn't get that either night so will look elsewhere if we return to Liverpool.
