"OMG I love it! Amazing hotel!"
What a great hotel! One of my favorites since long time ago! Everything is there, high standing, quality, cleanliness, modernity. I felt like a VIP! When I entered inside the room, I was surprisingly pleased by a super nice smell like interior perfume. The room was huge and the style super modern and fancy! All the details of the room and decoration were done with lots of taste. The bathroom was impressive and I love the fact that the complimentary products were from a famous brand (Aveda). The bar on the roof was doing amazing cocktail and even on the first floor. The staff was extremely polite, smiling and talkative. I how so much I will go back! Plus you are in a good area and can walk to many restaurants and bars. A great place to stay, don't hesitate!
"Great Rooms, expensive parking"
We enjoyed our one night with family here. Nice decor, renovated spaces. Only pinch is $45 parking fee per night, but that's probably usual for any downtown hotel. We did not find this location very vibrant as stated by some reviewers. Some good restaurants near by, overall a good stay.
"Great Rooms, Great Location! Just note that everything else is self-service"
visited during Dec 26 to 28 and booked three rooms in total for a family vacation including young kids and seniors. Rooms were clean, spacious with new furniture. Room amenities included Keurig Coffee maker which was great! hotel is located right in center and have many restaurants around. would highly recommend this hotel but if you have lots of luggages, be mindful that Concierge will NOT help you with your luggages. during check-out, i asked how come they won't help us, and he specifically said that they can only help if we "ask" for it! i mean seriously, do we need to beg' he can see us struggling in loading our stuff in the car already. Hotel is 5 star. Concierge should be fired!
"Not a good experience !"
I will start with the location - in the middle of a homeless camp, this is not the hotels fault but there are still the homeless people walking all around, kinda creepy. The vending machines use credit cards only, when I swiped my card the display said I had an invalid card. No more than 5 minutes later I got an email from my credit card company saying I had fraudulent charges put on my card from the vending machine and they were canceling my card. This was the first day of a week long California vacation. The last thing I needed was to have my credit card cancelled. The front desk people told me the vending machines did not belong to them and there was nothing they could do. Really ' Not even an apology. The hotel had eco friendly bath fixtures with low flow water adapters however, they worked too good and provided little more than a steady drip. The worst by far was the restaurant. We were told the restaurant would be open on Christmas morning. We ordered our coffee, juice and meals and after 90 minutes we were still waiting for our food. To make a long story short we never did get our food. We will not be staying here again.
"Great Location + Spacious Rooms"
Enjoyed the location (a short walk from the action in Gaslamp Quarter), the bar/restaurant in the lobby, the friendly staff, and the large rooms. Comfortable beds. Large shower. Request a room away from the elevator.
