"Excellent boutique hotel"
Stayed here over the weekend in 501. The hotel is a boutique hotel and quite unlike other Intercontinentals, in a good way. Excellent service. Our bed was made up in particular way on the first night and we arranged it (took the extra sheet between the duvet and bed) and housekeeping made it up the way we liked it the second day without any request from us. Very attentive! The room was decent sized and on par with other hotels in Paris. Finished to a very nice standard and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Good air-conditioning as well. The location is very central and close to several metro stations (within 5 minutes walk). The staff were all very helpful and I would definitely stay again.
"Re-visited and re-reviewed - still good!!"
We spent Easter weekend in IC in Paris, following a very pleasant first stay about two years ago. The hotel upgraded us to a suite in the fifth floor (yet again: it pays to be an IC Ambassador) which made the stay even more memorable with view of Arc d'Triomphe and Eiffel Tower from the suite's windows. Now, the reason I thought it's worth reviewing this hotel is as follows: we do like the uniqueness of the hotel, we wanted to thank in particular the chef concierge and her team for the outstanding support. We also wanted to make the hotel aware that it needs to look after the hotel a bit better: half of the chairs, tables and lounge chairs in the dining / breakfast area look too used. The same goes for other areas, e.g. the bathroom applicances in the suite. Make the small effort, fix these little flaws, thanks so much. anyhow, we will come back eventually :-)
We had an excellent stay at the Intercontinental Paris. This is a boutique style hotel, with a nice reception and rooms. Matheau checked us in with a very warm welcome, and a plethora of information about the hotel and the surrounding area. Our room was a good size for a European IC Hotel, and well appointed. We found housekeeping to be excellent. Typical of an Intercontinental Hotel, the restaurant/ bar is expensive - €8 for a glass of coffee is a little much, and twice the price of the cafes round about. But it's typical of the group, and a minor complaint - one has the choice to drink here, or outside. The location is perfect, 5 minutes walk from the Arc de Triomphe and Charles De Gaulle Etoile subway stations. If you plan to do the City bus tour, which is excellent by the way, you can at the top of the Champs Elise - again, 5 minutes walk. The bathroom was perfect, apart from the drainage problem with the sink which fills if you run the water too hard. It's an old property which has been converted so I suspect this issue is a much bigger one. We will be back to this lovely hotel and will really look forward to it! Thank you
Excellent location just minutes from Champs Elysee. Hotel staff are so friendly. Rooms are small but have everything you need. Have attached the view from my window. Coffee in my room was from a Nespresso machine. Really enjoyed it. Breakfast is a special treat a large selection of sweet and savory. Would definitely come again.
We stayed two nights at the intercontinental-avenue Manceau hotel. it is well-located and near the Champs-Elysees Avenue. The hotel was quiet and the staff was nice and helpful. The rooms were clean. We enjoyed our stay.
