Just arrived back after a 3 night stay . Booked a double with views and got an upgrade for free to a Lovely Junior suite on the top floor with Amazing views. Everywhere is clean , staff are friendly and very helpful , Breakfast is really good , lots and lots of choices including a cooked brekky :-) if you want . The chef will cook your eggs fresh any way you like. Coffee machine make Great coffee , again you can have a choice from a cappuchino / espresso / latte and more. Plenty of fresh orange juice and other juices. Dinner at night / we didn't go as we ate out every night but it certainly looked good and guests were dining every night. I have one point I would like to mention , I strongly belive that hotel guests should not have to pay for hotel facilities , the spa pool area should be free and Not charged at 9 euros per person and at worst that should last all day and not just for 2 hours. Yes , you should pay for treatments but not facilities ' For this reason we refused to use the spa. Just to let you know the outside pool and gym was free ' so why not the rest ' It's not a cheap hotel so it should be free.
We arrived after midnight and was made very welcomed by staff member behind desk. They had actually upgraded our room and ended up on level 7 with good views. Room was very clean and spacious enough with a small fridge. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good with a great choice of hot or cold food. Staff friendly. Pool area was great for relaxing.
"Not going back"
The toilet had a broken door which was extremely uncomfortable ,and the shower had half a door..the staff was friendly and the Room Was clean. It was our first time in the city so it was pretty problematic to find the hotel (we didnt have internet on our phone).
"Nice but not fabulous"
The Hotel Isla Mallorca is lovely modern hotel, spotlessly clean with helpful staff. Our room had a balcony with sea views, which were worth paying a bit extra for! Our room was compact but had what we needed. The location is great, as others have mentioned. The spa is gorgeous (9€ per guest for 2 hours). The pool area is lovely and v popular. It's billed as an urban oasis which is true in some respects - pretty, immaculately maintained with two separate pools BUT with loud music playing all day. For me, the music ruined the 'oasis' element - especially hearing the same songs on repeat. This made me question if the hotel are in touch with their clientele - mainly 30-60 year olds wanting some peace (at least while we were there!). In summary a great place for a city break but on the expensive side and the pool area is not the place for you if you are not into chart music.
"Weekend Break April 2017"
Stopped over for three nights at the beginning of April. The hotel is not too far from the Marina and only approx 20 mins walk to the historic center of Palma. The hotel was modern comfortable and clean with an spa in the basement of one of the two buildings that make up the hotel. If you want views you need to ensure you ask for the same as many rooms overlook other nearby urban buildings. The pools and gardens were of an adequate size with a good selection of sun loungers, parasols, tables and chairs. The restaurant looked very nice although we chose to eat out each evening. The rooms lack tea and coffee making facilities which is the only real criticism we had.
