"Smart hotel, good value for money "
We are in an urban room with balcony. Lovely and quiet at night time. We're on the 4th floor and can see the sea between nearby buildings. Breakfast is a very comprehensive mix of continental, cereal, fruit, pastries, yoghurt. Full English available, with items such as fried eggs and omlettes cooked to order if you want. Pool area looks lovely, although not used it.
"City Break in Palma"
Retuned to Palma after around 20 years for a 4 day break and picked the hotel on reviews. It is just outside the main city, in pleasant grounds, with an outdoor pool, although not in use in early March. We decided to eat in all of the nights, as the buffet dinner was superb value at 18 euros and the food excellent. All the staff were friendly and always had a smile for us All facilities were modern and kept spotlessly clean. We would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to visit the island, which brought back memories of previous visits going back over 45 years'
We stayed here for a three night break to Palma. On arrival the guy on reception was extremely helpful, as it was quite late in the evening. He took his time telling us about the area and where to go to eat/shop etc. We were upgraded to a junior suite which we weren't expecting and WOW we were not disappointed and didn't want to leave it! The room was huge, spotless, even the lighting in the bathroom area was very relaxing, it was extremely well maintained and we had all the little extras. The views from the balconies down to the marina and the castle on one side were amazing. Check out was simple with no fuss. We were sad to leave
Visited for 4 nights 2nd week in March, the hotel is a 15-20 minute walk from the old town, but it can be a lovely walk along by the harbour. Staff all very friendly with good knowledge. Has an outdoor pool and bar and separate spa building with free use gym. The spa which consists of heated indoor pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and heated loungers costs 9€ per visit, NOT. Per day. So you can't leave for lunch and return. I did use it for a couple of mornings and was very good and quiet, but that was the time of year. The hotel was not full at all. The rooms are fine with tv, mood lit shower and balcony. The urban oasis rooms don't have tea making facilities. The junior suite rooms do. These are probably double the size of the urban oasis rooms. Rooms were modern, clean and include free safe and fridge. Communal area were bright, clean and modern. The restaurant was buffet style, food lovely. They have an orange juicing machine and a great coffee machine too. The chef will cook your steak at the counter. So would definitely recommend this hotel. The one thing that let them down was the air con didn't not work. They told me it either blows cold in the summer or hot in the winter. As the weather had turned very warm, in March I wanted cold air, this was not possible. The cold control only blew hot air! Getting there; the No1 bus from the airport costs €5 each, a taxi over 20, so if there is a few of you get the cab. If you go by bus, this will take you right through the city about 25 mins, back down to the harbour, so then get off at the Shamrock pub just past the Hard Rock Cafe. Walk with the harbour on your left side down to the mirador hotel, then up the 50 steps to the road, turn left and cross the Rd to the sandy coloured hotel, walk down the side of this then up the hill opposite and the hotel is on the left. Bit tricky the first time which is why I include the detail. There is a supermarket near by. Taxis to the centre are 5€. You can hire a bike from the hotel too. The gym is well equipped. They also have a glass sided lift which is worth the ride for the view. The also have a piano in the basement area which you can play. Nice touch! Apart from the air con issue, I'd definitely recommend.
We stayed here for two nights. The hotel is well located in Palma and parking is easy around the hotel. The staff is friendly and nice. The rooms r clean, bright and have everything you need. Breakfast is also good and has a huge variety of foods. The only down side is the bar. It's super bright and therefore not very cozy which is a pitty if u r a fan of a night cap like me when traveling. I'd come back to this hotel during my next stay.
