of TripAdvisor Travelers recommend this hotel
We are just travelling home after staying at this hotel for 4 nights. we would recommend it, and would highly recommend opting for a junior suite over looking the bay, a beautiful at all times of day. The room was spacious, if we were to be picky the bathroom could do with a little tlc. The bed was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. The staff both on reception and in serving jn the cafe/bar were very pleasant. Breakfast was included, this was really good, good choice and all fresh. The surrounding area has lots of bars and clubs, this hotel is a short walk from the area where the clubs were so you could go there if you wished but it didn't disturb you if not. There are many fantastic resturants within walking distance, we ate at 4 different ones, all very good. Over all a great placeto stay, if we were to return to Malta we would stay here again.
"Nice spot, nice hotel"
We enjoyed staying at this hotel. Without exception we found the staff friendly, enthusiastic and professional. The rooms at the front of the building with a full sea view (n01,n02 and n03) are well worth the extra cost. The views over the little bay of Spinola are superb. The road below the balcony is always busy, but this didn't detract from the view, which was enjoyed with a glass of wine. In fact being able to watch the activity below only added to the interest. The balcony faces east so there is morning sun and later shade. Rooms were very large and nicely decorated and the bathrooms were well appointed with showers over a bath with jacuzzi. We bought 7 day bus passes for Euro21 and the buses stop just outside hotel. For most thinks you need to change in Valetta. The buses were good, but very busy - be prepared to stand! If MacDonalds, Pizza Hut, Wagamama's, Costa Coffee is your thing then these are on your door step, but we tried many of the local eating places and found them to be good overall. We booked Piccolo Padre through the hotel who got us a spot on their balcony over the sea, which was probably the best setting and food. Bianco's 2 doors away was busy and a safe choice. 1927 was OK but not as good as others.
This is a lovely boutique hotel, very professionally managed with great enthusiasm and care that really comes across. Very friendly staff who can't do enough to make their guests welcome and happy. First class convenient location for visiting sites including Valletta by day and really handy for walking to good bars and restaurants by night. The hotel booked reservations effortlessly for us at their own restaurant Zest, at Lulus, Barracuda round the corner for our three dinners and also ir rizzu for the traditional and exceptional sunday fish market, walk round then lunch at the lovely fishing village of Marsaxlokk. A lovely front on deluxe sea view room 801 provided an excellent ring side view of a most dramatic raging sea our weekend- we were so glad we were staying at such a great hotel. Recommended unconditionally!
"Lovely Hotel in St. Julian's Bay"
Stayed at Hotel Juliani in December of 2015. It's a very pretty, boutique hotel with rooms that have great views over the bay. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and overall we had an excellent time during our stay. Obviously amenities are a bit more limited than some of the much larger hotels (no spa, etc.) but if you are looking for something smaller that is not a chain, this would be perfect for you. I would certainly go back to this hotel and recommend it :)
"Great hotel with friendly, helpful staff"
This was our third or fourth visit to Hotel Juliani and I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. We have stayed in various sea view rooms from Ambassador Suite to Sea View Deluxe and they are always clean, fresh, well designed rooms. The view of Spinola Bay is stunning - we love sitting out on our balcony watching everyone outside. It's an easy walk to numerous bars and restaurants and a pleasant walk around the bay towards Sliema if that's what you fancy doing. And the bus stop is right outside if you want to venture further afield. The staff could not be more friendly and helpful and go out of their way to help you and make sure your visit goes perfectly. We will be back again in the Spring and are looking forward to staying there once again.
