From the step out of the limousine till we left the next day we were surprised by the perfect service they offered. Big modern and elegant rooms, great breakfast buffet with lots of specialties. Every dollar worth it.
I love this hotel! It's one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in my life. Everything was perfect - smooth check-in process, welcoming doorman service, luxurious room, fantastic location, great breakfast, comfortable bed, high quality amenities. I would love to come back to this hotel someday!
"Amazing staff and beautiful hotel"
My girlfriend and I stayed at Hotel Kamp for 3 nights starting the 16th November. We loved the whole experience. Check in was swift and efficient (which was welcome with our late arrival). Our room was well furnished and luxurious with a wonderful bathroom. Although it was late we were able to get food in the bar which was delicious and beautifully presented. At breakfast the following morning we were greeted by Manara, who took us to our table and made us feel very welcome and special. Each morning thereafter she remembered our names and even our preferences for coffee etc A true 5 star hotel is defined to an extent by its staff and Manara was exceptional in her attention to detail. Breakfast buffet is extensive and good quality. We decided to have a massage in the Spa and whilst it was not cheap it was the best massage we had ever experienced and we were totally relaxed afterwards. The only slight downside to our stay was that when we were in our room we could not find any coffee making facilities which was strange. We just assumed that this service was not available, however the night before we were due to leave we mentioned it at reception and were told we could request coffee and tea making facilities for our room but there was nothing in the literature to suggest this. Also on checking our bill after we departed we have been charged 6 Euro for bottled water (per bottle) which most hotels provide free of charge. I think it would be helpful for the hotel to provide more information regarding these items, however this did not dampen our enthusiasm for one of the nicest hotels we can remember. Thanks to all the wonderful staff and in particular to Manara for making our time in Helsinki so special.
"Superb stay in the heart of the city"
Excellent location in the center. Clean, fresh and spatious rooms. Great beds. Very helpful and friendly staff. Superb breakfast buffet. Hotel has preserved its historical atmosphere in the bar and in the lobby.
"Great sleep quality and superb location, little fixes would make it excellent"
Our pre-stay experience was exceptionally bad. I sent an email to confirm baby crib, but received no reply after two messages. While I called, I learned my emails that were using a major email service landed in their trash box. This made me think of their IT security if simple issues like this are not covered. Once at the hotel, our experience was mostly very good. The room was spacious and in-room dining excellent. Yet we were surprised by the service fee for ordering in-room dining. Compared to other countries, this seems exceptional. Their breakfast room is also very cosy and the hotel location super convenient (short walk from railway station). Great service with baby bottle sterilizing and preparing a good quality baby crib! Sauna was nice as well. Some more little notes of possible improvement: There was no thermometer (needed it for the baby), which was a great surprise for a 5 star hotel. No free internet in a country like Finland seems a bit odd, too. Like often in Finland, bathroom amenities do not include a razor, facial care products or even a toothbrush, but I'm sure they are available upon request. And the room service hoteline did not always speak Finnish, which may be inconvenient for some Finnish travelers.
