"Magical Christmas in Hong Kong"
Without doubt my favourite hotel in the world. Have spent Christmas and New Year at the Shangri La Kowloon for the last 4 years and it is a real treat. Not cheap, but a wonderful reward at the end of a hard year. Everything is good, the service excellent and the staff go the extra mile. Special mention to Charlie on Concierge desk for his exceptional customer care and for setting up the Christmas tree in my room, its the little things that make the difference. Very popular with families and you can see why, they make the Christmas experience magical (even for adults !). Excellent location for shopping, MTR, Bus station for day trips (eg to Stanley), and also local bars and food. Super gym, but the pool is strangely small. Try a HK island view room for the ultimate experience, but again they are not cheap. Had great views of the NY fireworks, and the atmosphere around the hotel at Christmas and NY is great. Super breakfast and dinner buffet (not cheap again) Already booked in for 2017.
"Make sure you book correctly"
We stayed for 5 nights in November. We booked through a booking website instead of through the hotel. When we realised breakfast was not included we asked for them to do breakfast package. They would not accomodate this request, when many other hotels offer such deals. Apart from that, the rooms were large and very clean, and East Tsim Sha Tsui station is very close to the hotel entrance making transport very easy.
"Home Sweet Home"
One of my favourite hotels around the world. Service and accomodations are exceptional. We worked with Jorie at the Concierge and she was excellent arranging tours and dinner reservations. Would recommend this hotel to anyone..... great location and walking distance to all attractions with beautiful view overlooking the harbour. Thanks Shangri La.
"Great stay "
Myself and my husband stayed here for 5 days, the hotel is very luxurious, but for the price you pay its what you expect, we booked a harbour view but were given a side view of the harbour so technically our own fault, we thought we'd booked full harbour view as it was a birthday treat my husband spoke to management and they happily upgraded us to a full harbour view for free, which I have to say was stunning, rooms were lovely and spacious, I liked how the maid took notice of my books around the room and left lovely bookmarks on my bed for me, something small but left a good impression, hotel staff were lovely always ready to help, breakfast at the hotel is honestly the best I've ever had, and I have to say we've stayed at a lot of 5* hotels. Breakfast stations of every continent and all very tasty and made to your taste, The bar is lovely overlooking the harbour. Disabled access was no problem, all really accessible, all in all a lovely stay and will always go back to stay there,
We usually stay here on business trips. Service is excellent. Hotel is a little older, but well kept. Breakfast buffet is amazing. Tea and snacks are really good in the lounge area. Taxis are always available outside.
