"Lovely place, lovely hotel, helpful staff"
Me and my friend stayed here for 4 nights - 13th-17th August 2016. The hotel is lovely. The pool area has a great atmosphere and is very clean. Towels are provided. The rooms were lovely, clean and spacious. Everything we asked for advice or help from the reception they were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is a short walk around the water from the bus station. The place is so beautiful. We walked to different places and all the bus routes are so easy into the old town for dinner. We also stayed local for dinner one night which was lovely too.
"Wonderful, perfect hotel - highly recommend it"
After extensive research on hotel reviews on tripadvisor and prices, I chose Hotel Lapad. I expected it to be lovely and it was even better - wonderful and perfect for our 4 night visit to Dubrovnik. Our twin room was in the modern section, it was quiet and peaceful, at the side of the hotel, had a balcony looking over the gardens and partial sea view. The breakfast buffet was great except for the free coffee but you can get nice, fresh coffee, cappuccino etc at the bar. Bar and terrace, pool and gardens were lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful. It is easy to get to Dubrovnik walled city by direct bus from outside the hotel. I'm glad I stayed out of the city centre/walls - Lapad has great restaurants, beaches and beach clubs and a stunning coastal walk. Nearby restaurants: Otto Taverna short walk away and Peppers right next to hotel. Loved them both so much we went to each twice for dinner. Go to the Cave Bar at Hotel More in Lapad - stunning place for drinks and I went for a swim off the bar terrace. I really recommend Hotel Lapad and will go again if I get the chance.
"Holiday in September"
Fab hotel, out of town location. Weather was not great but did not stop us visiting Dubrovnik and exploring this amazing town. Food was very good with plenty of choice. Near the Hotel Lapad there are some excellent resturants and we did not have a bad meal.
"Great hotel away from the tourists of Dubrovnik"
It's a short cab ride to the old city and a nice escape from the craziness of Dubrovnik's old center. It's right on the water of the bay and in walking distance of Dubrovnik Yacht Club Orsan where the food is fabulous. Lapad's breakfast is fabulous, the dinner we had there was excellent and the service is excellent. I brought 9 people there and everyone was happy with the location. Being on the bay/harbor we were able to arrange for a boat to pick us up at the pier across the street from the hotel and we sailed through the bay to the old city's harbor and got off and walked straight to our restaurant on the old city wall. Really spectacular! A standard double room with partial view doesn't give you a lot of room between the desk and the bed so you have to watch your shins. Other than that, it's a great place!
"Food and location"
Half board was a fall back as such a cheap option but good was so good ended up eating most nights. Directly on bus routes for rest of Dubrovnik so access very easy. Peppers restraint 2 mins away does the best milkshakes and frozen cocktails I have ever had. I just hope they Finnish the mariner pontoons outside the front gate soon.
