We really enjoyed our stay here, the staff were excellent and friendly however the standard of English was very low, which is something I can accept and understand as a foreigner living abroad myself but find hard to accept when I need/must converse with hotel lobby staff who seemed to have had a hard time understanding my English at least. We spent a week here and nearly 2,500 Euros in cash and we weren't even thanked for our visit upon payment, which is fine with me but not befitting of a supposed 5 star establishment in my opinion. The location of the hotel is ideal, the pools and amenities are fantastic and the lobby area and outside seating areas are wonderful, definitely 5 stars. On the other hand the rooms are tired and lack lustre, and need some modernising and are clearly not up to 5 star standards, they are at best (and I feel I am being generous here) 4 star accommodation, in fact I have stayed at better 4 star hotels. For example there was a massive yellow stain in my eye line on the wall paper just to the left of the bed and blood stains on the ceilings where people had been swatting mosquitoes (I guess), tiles in the bathroom were cracked and the shower and bath were tiny, my shoulders were literally touching both sides of the shower unit (which was once upon a time a cool 1980's pressure shower unit; not any more though). The bed is one of those hospital type wheel beds which is comfortable but a weird choice for a 5 star hotel, considering that every time you sit up to read in bed, it wheels itself away from the wall, very very annoying. We found the food disappointing and only ate at the hotel twice in 7 days, once for dinner and once by the pool, both of which we found way over priced and not comparable to the quite delicious and very reasonably priced food 5 minutes walk down the promenade. I might sound like I am being overly critical here, I'm not, we really enjoyed our stay, but if a hotel bills itself as a 5 star establishment it should live up to that accolade especially since the prices are clearly 5 star all the way.
"Great hotel "
Amazing hotel - excellent beach location, super food and great gym. Unfortunately outdoor pool not heated but great indoor pool open fir kids too. Gym excellent. Near lots of good shops and restaurants Valencia great city for beach food and culture
"Great Hotel but not perfect"
Lots about this hotel is amazing. The location next to the beach is wonderful. The pools all clean, kept tidy and there are plenty of loungers available outside. The view of the fountains and sea from my room was spectacular. Nearly everyone working there is friendly. A few things stopped the stay from being perfect for me: there is no kettle in the room - annoying when I wanted a hot drink. People are very officious around towels. I couldn't pick one up from the spa, as I was meant to get one from upstairs to use by the outside pool. Fine, but annoying when I had a small child who doesn't climb up and down stairs well with me. (But staff member very smiley when saying "no") One of our two connecting rooms was cleaned / closed off before we checked out. It was't a problem, but we hadn't been asked or told this would happen, therefore we hadn't had a chance to check nothing had been left behind beforehand. That said, my family and I really enjoyed our stay!!
Everything about this hotel I liked. The food was amazing, the room was incredible and the staff was top notch! Even the body wash was amazing 👍I wasn't able to get a massage as I was too late making the appointment so if a massage is desired make the appointment early.
We had a very pleasent stay at some superior rooms. The whole Hotel is tastefully furbished, staff was welcoming, multilingual, and very helpful. The Spa offers a variety of skin cares and massages. I had a lovely Thai stretching session. The Pool Area is quite large, offering enough space to assure a minimum of privacy for everyone. We spent a great Holiday here and would recommend this Hotel to anyone looking for a classy place to stay right on the ocean front.
