"Fab weekend hideaway in the French alps"
Would highly recommend for a summer weekend. Great service. Great rooms. Great food. Pool and spa an added benefit. As in was actually going to leave my review at that given I thought it was all that was needed to be said but TripAdvisor was at least 200 words so what else can I say. Great location. Great variety of rooms. I stayed with a group of 7 and we all thought it was excellent.
"DUO 75 MINUTES MASSAGE AND FULL ACCESS TO THE SPA OF CHALET DU MONT D'ARBOIS."
On Saint-Valentine 2016 day, I invited my wife for a duo 75 minutes massage inside the very nice SPA of Chalet du Mont d'Arbois. We paid a total of 300 euro for this massage, full access to outdoor saunA, indoor hammam, indoor jacuzzi (35 degrees Celsius), in-outdoor pool (28 degrees Celsius) but unfortunately not to outdoor jacuzzi, which was not operational. The massage was made by two friendly girls, with nice relaxing music and oil smell which we could choose before massage. After this great moment, we had shower and enjoyed the SPA during 2 hours, under heavy snow, which was quite awesome while we were swimming outside, snow falling on our faces, well it gave also very nice and unsual photos which I will soon add to this review. There is a parking located just in front of the Chalet du Mont d'Arbois. We add also access to complimentary bottles of water and to hot tea inside the SPA area. All was very clean, staff very young and friendly. So to resume, our experience inside the SPA was : Positives points : ---------------------- 1) All was very clean inside, (well I'm not sure about jacuzzi, it was a lot of foam...). 2) Towels, water, hot tea, are complimentary provided in large quantity. 3) Great in-outdoor pool. 4) Great Jacuzzi, but slightly too warm for indoor (35 degrees Celsius). 5) Great aquarium located inside the SPA area. 6) Sauna with view on the outdoor pool ! Points to be aware of : ----------------------------- 1) Sauna is located outdoor, so if it is snowing, it is very cold to go outside the warm SPA area, to walk in the cold and then to rush into the hot sauna. 2) Kids are allowed inside the SPA area, we were somehow disturbed by a noisy young girl who was shouting and speaking very loud inside the pool and jacuzzi... 3) Prices are quite high, but quality was also present, so expect to pay for what you will get. 4) Parts of the wall is in quite bad conditions when taking the stairs down to the massage rooms. Well, that's it for the moment. We will surely come back to this very nice, good looking SPA and hopefully at the same time, between 10:30 am until 14:30 when it was the least people.
"A JEWEL IN THE FRENCH ALPS"
This gem hotel is hidden at the end of a private driveway, 10min walking from Mont d'Arbois ski slopes, less than 10min driving from Megève village. The surroundings are quiet and peaceful to the eye. The hotel is the typical mountain chalet, the interiors are very well presented and maintained. The lounge/bar is warm and feels more like your own sitting room, with a big fireplace. From the lounge you can access a huge terrace. The (well deserved) Michelin starred restaurant, very stylish and with a nice view of the valley, serves delicious dishes. The waiting team is highly professional. Overall the staff of the hotel is very professional, courteous, discreet and really helpful. The rooms are just perfect, with big comfy beds, well equipped, and the bathroom with both bathtub and shower. As a group we used the meeting room, right next to the main chalet, is in chalet style, perfectly sized for smaller groups, well equipped and maintained. Only downside of this hotel for when traveling in business is WiFi connection which is unfortunately very bad. However I was told by the management this problem should be fixed in the nearer future. Cherry on top they have a free shuttle service on demand for Megeve village or the slopes. I really cannot recommend this hotel more. I personally hope to go back soon.
"Great place, very over priced."
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Chalet Mont D'Arbois. The service, staff, and housekeeping are all excellent, and particularly the drivers who shuttle you back and forth to the ski lifts. Generally the free shuttle service is excellent and always prompt. The hotel is very cosy and warm. With a nice reception and living room area. However for what we were paying, (500 euros a night) the rooms were a tad disappointing, for one they are tiny, the heating wasn't working all the time, our room phone had no battery, and the bathroom belongs more in a 3-star hotel than here. The spa is ok. the Sauna was never hot enough, and the thermostat is broken, which was very disappointing. We had a great massage with Audrey. But our other massages weren't good. The food and kitchen are insanely good, if you can afford them : ) we paid 890 euros for dinner one night (4ppl). Over all, i think they need to upgrade their rooms, and/or lower their prices.
"A restful week"
It's a wonderful site. It's relaxing. The staff is focused on your needs, very helpful without being intrusive, polite, discreet, without being nosy. Just a perfect spot in a mountain resort set on making your vacation count for each moment you spent there. They've got all of your fitness, and spa facilities available along with an indoor/outdoor swimming pool. The room we stayed in (recommend the location) faced the valley. A wonderful view, sunny and spacious (#15) We spent there a week taking advantage of all they had to offer, and taking a walk every day in the beautiful surroundings of Megeve. The 4 star rating comes for the less than perfect breakfast buffet, without any changes to the offered menu each day. The continental self serve breakfast was 28€ which is quite expensive compared to most of the 5* hotels that offer a larger variety of items ... The one star Michelin '1920' restaurant serves an excellent Menu but again the prices are rather steep compared to the same class establishments in the region..... We would have dined more than once there but it was too heavy on the budget. All in all it's a great place to spend a day or a week in the summer.
