"Damaged Car...Beware of Valet Parking"
First of all I would like to mention that the hotel itself was fabulous! The front desk staff friendly and accommodating, The concierge was so kind to our son. If I was rating the Hotel on just the above I would definitely award 5 stars....Unfortunately, upon leaving the next day and shortly after arriving home we noticed damage on the roof and bumper of our brand new car. A ball sized dent on the roof and two long wavy dents on the bumper. We took our vehicle to a local body shop and they have told us that something large and heavy was dropped on the roof. As for the bumper something had been dragged along it. So here we are stuck with a bill for damage that we did not create on our barely 6 month new car. I truly hesitated writing this review because I thought - "Really what's the point'" It's our fault for not checking our car before we departed! So all I can say is that one should be wary of just handing your keys over to a valet.
"Beauliful, clean, modern rooms, but beware of evens right out front."
The hotel is very modern. They make beautiful use of industrial elements in a stunning and modern decor. The room design was both unique and functional. It was very clean and spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom door does not close all the way (design issue, molding placement with sliding door to toilet area) Romantic travels...rich food...bathroom door doesn't close and has no fan...you get it. Close the outer doors I guess, don't use it while your spouse is getting ready and hope for the best. The common areas were bright, clean and uncrowded. Breakfast selection was fresh, well presented and tasty. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was a short walk to CN tower, the aquarium and many restaurants. Lastly, if you are not there to enjoy sports (I know, probably rare....) Ask ahead about events going on right outside your room. The first day we were in and out all day. We were unaware there would be screaming and blasting music starting at about 3pm. 1000 people watching a towering screen, cheering and yelling till about 10pm proceeding by barrier removal crew until about 12am, all right outside our window. Fortunately it rained all the next day, canceling somthing that would also have been going on right outside....again. Not the hotels fault, but would have been good to know.
We did stayed here (2 of us) for 3 nights in early April and loved it. Brilliant location, very friendly staff and nice quality feel about the hotel. Great base to explore the city on foot. Tue CN Tower is like 5 mins away. The inclusive breakfast is a nice touch if you have it, nice bright and spacious lounge area to enjoy a coffee before you start your day.The hotel bar is pretty popular too of an evening, and if you're going to the Air Canada centre you're in luck; it's 2 mins away and even has an entrance linked to the hotel (along with a shopping centre too which is really convenient but also subtle so you don't feel or hear it). If you want a spot that is within everything but quiet and exclusive, I'd recommend this place. Our room (King) was very spacious, lovely modern shower (no bath but big shower), really comfortable bed and nice bright view of the city, was well worth the investment. Really good stay here, and the concierge (lady who's name I can't recall, was excellent, she arranged our trip to Niagara Falls and also gave advice on getting the NHL tickets). Very helpful. Recommend led stay if you're in Toronto.
"Perfect place to stay"
This hotel is amazing. Warm, friendly and professional staff. Beautiful rooms, great breakfast and close to everything. Great location, close to the ACC, Roger's Centre and Ripley's Aquarium. Great for families or couples. Highly recommend. We will be staying here again.
"Convenient with great customer service"
Very well appointed, modern, clean rooms. When going to this game this is a great choice. Ear plugs are thoughtfully provided to block out unwanted noise coming from the games letting our from the ACC. Complimentary wi-fi and continental breakfast. Kyle at the front desk provided exceptional customer service when it seemed I booked a room at Le Germain's other Toronto property. He deftly and with a very accommodating spirit cancelled my other reservation and booked me into the correct hotel with little fanfare. I was up to my room in less than 10 minutes.
