"Nice setting in downtown Montreal"
Spent a long weekend here in January 2017.Great location and fantastic hotel.Less than a five minute walk to Metro.Laid back but professional staff.Room was very comfortable and adequate.Breakfast was very satisfying and pleasant.Concierge , Andre, was a delight to work with. Will certainly be back
We like Montreal and try to get there every summer for few days. Last stay we selected Le Germain because of the modern, European look and feel and we were not disappointed. Great breakfast, room and room service (few nice touches), good location. Prior years we stayed The Fairmount and Hotel Gault and we will definitely be back at Le Germain.
"Great hotel... best peanut butter ever!"
Really like this hotel... very modern and all rooms are updated and have a light, clean look to them. Rooms are also well stocked. Service is good and helpful whenever I've been there. I've never had dinner there, but their breakfasts are really tasty... but what really tops it off is their home made peanut butter! It is absolutely stunning, and I've heard other people say the same thing. Almost work the stay for that alone!!! Downside is that it's fairly pricy and there are definitely better value hotels in Montreal that are also decent. Also, there is no loyalty club so there's no value in racking up a lot of stays. That's why I don't stay there as much as I could.
Stayed at Le Germain overnight for two day escape to Montreal, on a holiday special. Staff could not have been more hospitable or accommodating, allowing us to check out at 6 p.m. with no extra charge, just in time to catch our train.Healthy and abundant breakfast included in pleasant dining room. Comfortable room. We will definitely be back!
"Unique European feel"
We stayed for a three night short trip to see Montreal during the week between Christmas and New Year. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and bathroom was nice with a separate area for the toilet. Warning: the shower can be seen entirely from the bedroom with the blinds accessible only on the bedroom side. Interestingly risqué idea but I think it would be better if the blinds were in-between the glass with access only on the shower side (I would think the person there is in a more vulnerable position). Nice breakfast setup. The one star I took away was for the restaurant. Went there for dinner and menu was very limited and portions were tiny. Will definitely return for another stay. The hotel has two charging station for electric cars though there is a charge for parking.
