"Beautiful Hotel - Fantastic Service"
I stayed at Le Germain for four nights on business. Every single person (from front door and front desk staff to housekeeping) were authentically friendly - I felt that my business was appreciated. I also found the staff helpful from recommending shopping and restaurants, directions, etc. When I needed assistance printing out documents, staff were accommodating and friendly. The room was beautiful - large, clean, with very comfortable bed and linens. The only drawback for me was the low level of lighting. Great location in entertainment district. 10 minute walk to Union Station to catch the clean and fast train to the airport.
"Maybe the best bathroom and dressing area yet"
We spent four nights in a 10th floor room while attending a small-group conference. Our recently renovated room was large and lovely. The floor plan included a great bathroom and spacious dressing area with ample closets and convenient places for travel bags. The little tech things--key cards, WiFi--worked effortlessly, but we never completely figured out the room lights. We appreciated the healthy offerings at breakfast. The staff took good care of us.
"Great hotel with extra attentive staff"
This hotel is conveniently located in downtown Toronto, so you can walk to a lot of restaurants and shops nearby. It is very nicely decorated, clean lines and modern furniture. Staff is very friendly and go the extra mile to make your stay a pleasant one. Room and it's bathroom were very comfortable. I stayed in the 8th floor, my room looked into the street unfortunately there was a rooftop just across the street with very loud music so if you are a light sleeper or will be staying Thursday through the weekend I would suggest asking for a room that doesn't face the street so you can have a peaceful and uneventful sleep. Breakfast offered in the second floor was included with my room, it was solid and delicious. Overall I was very pleased with this Hotel and would absolutely return and recommend it to anyone.
"Great hotel and so central to great dining, entertainment, shopping, sports....location perfect!!"
Great boutique hotel! Room very modern and most important, comfortable! Have stayed here previously on one of the lower floors and was nice room, but very dark. This last stay was on an upper floor and was fabulous! (I prefer a room that has more light during the day). Staff throughout hotel consistently attentive and helpful - couldn't ask for better service! As my daughter lives in Toronto, I will continue to stay here as it is very comfortable and the amenities are superb. Highly recommend this property - just suggest you request a room on one of the upper floors if you prefer more light exposure during the day.
"Superb staff, gorgeous room"
I stayed at Le Germain for two nights over Labor Day weekend. I can't say enough nice things about the staff. I arrived around 10am, hours before regular check-in, but they were so friendly and accommodating. Although my room was not ready, the front desk attendant encouraged me to take advantage of their continental breakfast (even though I wasn't actually checked in). There was a lovely selection of breads, pastries meats, cheeses, yogurt, granola, juices, teas, coffees. It was a nice break after a morning of travel. My room was gorgeous - one of the larger rooms with a King bed. The bed was so incredibly comfortable it was tempting to just stay in and nap all day. The bathroom amenities were very nice, as was the complementary tea and nespresso. Good minibar selection, although I didn't partake. The hotel's location is extremely convenient - I didn't step foot in a cab or public transportation all weekend, I walked everywhere. Very easy access to the Aquarium, Harbourfront, Chinatown and Kensington Market neighborhoods, and very close to the great restaurants along W King and Spadina. I also walked to St. Lawrence Market and the Distillery District, which was a bit of a hike, but worth it - very nice walk along the Esplanade and Front Street. My only issue with the location, as others have pointed out, is that it is across the street from some restaurants/bars with outdoor seating and the street was quite loud at night. I called the front desk to get a sense of how long the noise would last and was told there was a strict noise ordinance after midnight. They graciously offered me ear plugs (which I declined because I'd brought my own!), and told me if the noise was a problem they'd be happy to move my room. So, again, another example of the staff going out of their way to please the customer. And the noise did die down and didn't interfere with my sleep at all. If I'm ever in Toronto again I wouldn't hesitate to stay at Le Germain.
