In the heart of Nice, facing the Mediterranean Sea, the five star hotel is located 5 km from the international airport of Nice Côte d'Azur and halfway between Cannes and Monte Carlo.

"Everything I expected and a bit more"
I had wanted to stay at this famous hotel for decades and finally managed to get there. We had a lovely room overlooking both a garden and the sea. It was quite spacious and well furnished. The staff was extremely helpful and one doorman even, at my request, gave me a lesson on how to use the GPS on my rented Mercedes. The furnishings in the common areas were in good taste. We did not eat breakfast there because both my wife and I thought it was overpriced at 27 or 30 euros a person. We also did not eat at the famous Michelin two star restaurant in the hotel only because we can no longer eat meals of that dimension. We were at the hotel shortly after the recent terrorist attack there and were happy to have kept our reservation to show our support for Nice and France. The hotel has the best location on the Promenade des Anglais but, alas no swimming pool although the Riviera beaches are, by and large not great bot pebbly and rocky. But I don't go to French cities to swim.
"Travelling with princess, like princess."
Great stay in Hotel Negresco in October 2016. Enjoyed the fantastic art collections, tasty decorations & rooms, sea views and excellent service from hotel staff. We got very good restaurant recommendations (and help with bookings) form the concierge desk. Appreciated the hospitality towards the little princess (7 years) travelling this time with me. Good breakfast, not spectacular, but hot chocolate made the princess happy. Old building, so don’t expect everything to be brand new & top notch, the charm of this hotel comes with the long history.
"Barman should wear a mask!!!"
Complete daylight robbery - 39 Euros for 2 single Gordons gins and 1 shared tonic - fever tree was on the menu but we were given schwepps. The ambiance felt like a private gentleman's club but the staff appeared very childish attempting to play tricks on each other showing little or no interest in their clientele
"Perfect belle epoque seaside hotel"
Gorgeous hotel - part of leading hotels of the world - with stunning Belle Époque style throughout. This hotel is a museum - with artwork and period furniture liberally placed throughout the hotel. Professional and courteous staff that sees to every need. Gorgeous lobby bar with friendly efficient service. Be sure to get a room with breakfast included- it is offered in the fun and whimsical La Rotunde decorated as a carousel. And the location is perfect - directly across from the sea with gorgeous sunrise and sunset views and evening strolls on promenade de anglais.
"A wonderful hotel "
What can you say, this is truly an iconic hotel. From the moment you pull up to the curb to the moment you pull away for the last time, you are wrapped in history, art, graciousness and superb service at the Negresco. The amount and quality of the artwork is simply stunning (most museums would love to have such a collection), the furnishings are great and our room was very comfortable & had a perfect view of the Mediterranean. Oh, by the way, we stayed in the Marilyn Monroe room that she used to stay in. You must visit the bar, not only for the food & drinks, but for the artwork, woodwork and the military items on display. If you desire a memorable stay on the French Riviera, then you will not be disappointed with the Negresco.
