"Pleasant Paris Sojourn"
My husband was returning to Washington, DC, from a business trip to Saudi Arabia so it seemed like a good idea to meet him part-way in Paris. We happily returned to the Lenox Hotel in the Montparnasse neighborhood. It is a friendly, comfortable place with an inviting dining room and a welcoming staff able to switch easily to English. It is close to both the Metro and the RER trains (which go to Charles de Gaulle Airport ). In a city famous for walking, it is an easy jaunt through the Luxembourg Gardens to the Left Bank, the Louvre and Note Dame. And the staff went out of its way to find and send to us at home a purchase that had fallen behind the TV out of sight. We will return whenever we can.
"Been coming for years"
I've been staying here for years, for a reason. The staff are lovely. The rooms are clean and well appointed (although no larger than you'd expect for a three star). The location is perfect, in the heart of Montparnasse and close to Vavin metro which is a direct trip (about half an hour) on line 4 from Gard du Nord (Eurostar). And there's an honesty bar! This tells you everything about the ambience of the place. A real treasure.
"Largest room we've enjoyed in six Paris visits."
After spending the same money for a tiny room in Barcelona, we were delighted with the size of our "junior suite" at Lenox Montparnasse. The room was large and charming. The only drawback was that the exterior was undergoing a government mandated facelift and work will continue until the end of 2016. We stayed Friday to Tuesday, so as the work didn't continue over the week-end, the only impact on us was that we didn't see the very nice facade as we arrived daily back at the hotel. We selected the Lenox because it was within walking distance of the Luxembourg Gardens and close to easy metro/train connections to all of Paris . There was also a nice market at the end of the street (food-Saturday, art-Sunday) and lots of restaurants nearby- try La Rotonde for good French food. The hotel is not large -32 rooms, but has a cozy, friendly atmosphere with good and helpful reception personnel, charming bar/breakfast room and a good, substantial breakfast buffet(though coffee could be better). There is a lift, which was nice, as we were on the 6th floor (the larger rooms are on the 6th). We very much enjoyed our stay at the Lenox and will be back.
Lovely hotel just off the main road, well located for restaurants, metro and bus stops. Lovely rooms, top floor suite especially nice with little extras including sofa. Plenty of breakfast goodies, tea coffee etc. Staff really helpful. We would happily stay again, this was our second visit. 10 minutes walk from the Montparnasse tower which is definitely worth a visit especially at night to see the Eiffel Tower all light up!
great hotel, very good breakfast, close to transportation, and hop on hop off bus, employees were extremely helpful. we would stay at this hotel again without question. had a mini suite on top floor which was really beautiful.
