We arrived in Paris after boxing day, stayed for a few days before taking the train to Provence, then back to Paris again for a few days. Having stayed at two different Paris hotels on this trip, we are able to make a comparison. Overall, the Lenox Montparnasse has an excellent location, being located a few steps away from the subway station. There are cinemas, restaurants, shopping malls all within walking distance. We travelled with another couple and booked two rooms. By luck, our travelling companion got a much larger room than us even though we paid the same price. The buffet breakfast is good, though not as good as the other hotel where we stayed. Overall, we are very happy with our stay at Lenox.
Hotel Lenox Montparnasse was a great choice for our 4 night stay in Paris. It was a quick walk to the Metro to get you all around Paris. Very safe and quiet neighborhood too. Lots of food options within walking distance. Hotel room was on the smaller side, but had a very plush bed and pillows. Wonderful bathroom amenities and hot showers. The staff was very accommodating and spoke great English. Everyone we encountered was so kind and helpful. We had no noise issues at all during our stay. The hotel front was under construction but there were no noise disturbances. Great stay for a great price!
Well, I searched a lot for a good hotel with a reasonable price in a good area in Paris. But have to admit that it was really difficult. The staff are really friendly and helpful. We arrived there around 10 Am and the room was ready and we checked in which was reeeaally good. The room is too small and not so much renewed. also they were renewing the facade when we where there, and our window could not be opened because of that construction. Bad luck :( . The area is safe and transport system is easy to access. The restaurant is so small but cozy and the breakfast was ok. Before my trip I read that someone wrote donÄt take the rooms in the street side because of the noises from drunk people of the bars around. He was right and i made the mistake. We had to take the room in the other side.
Great staff, friendly, helpful, rooms were pleasant. Arrived from Barcelona, building was under renovation but the room service and location were perfect. Very close to public transportation would recommend this place to travel.
The rooms here are tiny, as in most non-luxury Parisian hotels, but at least we had a real bathroom with tub. Our window looked out on an open space, which houses another hotel, the Villa Modigliani (formerly a commissariat de police!). We were pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff, and the high standard of cleanliness. The exterior facade is covered with scaffolding--supposedly the city authorities have decreed its restoration. This didn't really affect our stay, although it may account for the low price we got.(N.B., you can save, by using Expedia, Booking, etc., with the added bonus for us of paying in lowly Canadian dollars.) The rue Delambre is an ideal location, near Gare Montparnasse, the Cemetery, restaurants and cafes, large and small, some like Le Dome and La Coupole, with historical value. The street offers everything you might need--two bakeries, markets, pubs, a laundromat, a wine shop, other good hotels, and more.
