"Good Location and hotel"
We only stayed one night in this excellent hotel arriving by ferry from Korcula. It was an up hill walk and a bit of strain with our luggage. We were upgraded to a suite the rooms were amazing with unusual lighting and design all high end fixtures and very generous bathroom care packages and lots of tea/coffee. The breakfast was ok not as good as the room. Most of my breakfasts experiences are in Asia particularly Thailand who provide sumptuous and extensive buffets and had to adjust to the modest European breakfasts. Hotel is very close to the historical and shopping area. We loved Split walking for hours through the palace and underground which is integrated into the restaurants and shops. Would easily recommend the hotel and stay an extra day.
"Close to the old city"
The reason I didn't give it a very good rating is the quality of breakfast, really not very good. I picked this hotel for one night as we are doing a road trip through Croatia and wanted to see the old town. There is a carpark at the back of the hotel, be aware that if you have a large car it is very tricky to manœuvre on that back street as cars are parked on both sides. The hotel is quirky, not my type of deco but for one night that was fine. The staff was friendly.
"Comfortable Room, Great View"
We got the comfort room for 2 nights and it definitely lived up to its name. The beds were soft and the patio was great. The view was beautiful. It has a really good location with easy access to the bus station (how we arrived) and the palace old city area. The staff was very friendly as well. (The blonde lady in particular. Sorry, I didn't catch her name) There were a few cons the biggest being that they don't give you conditioner in the shower. (My girlfriend and I both have long hair and it sucks not having conditioner) There was also a brief moment when someone let themselves in despite the do not disturb sign. It was a little bit understandable I guess because it was close to checkout and maybe they thought we were gone already so I think it was just an honest mistake but still startling. The last thing I would say was that the breakfast there is very average. Again this is not a big deal to us because we almost never leave the room in time to get breakfast anywhere we stay. It was enough to get a little something in our stomach before we started out for the day but don't expect a big hearty breakfast. (which is again, no big deal)
Clean, great location and lovely staff. The room has a good space and comfortable so much. The view from window room is beautiful. The breakfast made with fresh and quality food. The staff help us to find (tip) a good restaurant to have dinner.
"A Boutique Hotel with Quirkey Decor"
My husband & I stayed at the Hotel Luxe in Split for two nights, at the end of a week's holiday on the island of Brac. We chose the hotel mainly for its convenient location, within easy walking distance of the ferry port that connects to the Dalmation islands and also close to the airport shuttle bus station. But what a surprise when we entered the lobby! I thought I was in a beauty salon! The hotel is only six years old and the furniture in sparkling white, the floor covering has silvery tiles, there are mirrors everywhere, in asymmetric shapes, there are lovely floral arrangements and touches of magenta coloured lighting. There is also a small spa with a whirlpool and sauna (but no swimming pool) and the relaxation area consists of just two recliners, right beside the whirlpool. You can also book for a massage. There is a varied range of food available for the buffet breakfast, which is available from 6.00 a.m. to 11.a.m., but they don't do lunches or dinner. This is no problem, as there are plenty of restaurants to try out in Split. We had a room on the 3rd floor & a small balcony with a view of the port. I would really recommend this hotel. I Ioved it.
