"Great place if u need calm and relax"
Not far away from the center, but far enough to relax. Yoga every morning, they dont have beach, but with walk you its 6-8 minutes. There you can find many nice places to relax during the day, we didnt try the spa because of the prices, but im sure its perfect. Friendy staff, the Prana restaurant (which is on the first floor above the reception) is really good! We loved the breakfast also!
Our stay at Mandala Spa and Villa Resort was generally okay. However, the hotel lacked the essential amenities for everyone's enjoyment apart from having spa treatments. If you like to have a quiet retreat then this could be for you. The rooms are standard and not exceptional.
"an intimate tropical oasis with 5star service"
When you arrive, you are greeted warmly by the staff. a refreshing welcome drink is waiting for you. To get here, I flew from Manila to Kalibo. Then took a private car ($25 USD) to a 10 minute boat ride, then a golf cart to the resort. I stayed in Villa 1. I loved it. the villas are all very spacious, and extremely comfortable. The main room has a king bed with netting around it, a desk, mini fridge with a small selection of wines and champagnes that were reasonably priced, a huge comfy chair and several double doors you can open to get a good breeze going. The bathroom was AMAZING, complete with all glass walls and mood lighting installed outside so even at night you can see. There is a large soaker tub, and a bidet. The shower is located outside- which I loved! There is a private deck/porch with lounge chairs. Yoga is taught every morning at 830 and is free for registered guests. There are different instructors each day, some were more into the spiritual aspect and some gave me a very good workout. Above the front office is an intimate restaurant with a wide variety of cocktails and delicious food in the $7-$15 USD range. Service was top notch. The Spa I did not use, because the pricing was just extremely different than the treatments you can get down at the beach. I went down to the beach every single day and got an hour long massage for $7 USD, and when I chose the inside the building option it was only $10. This is a very walkable and reasonably safe area. I never felt uncomfortable once. I traveled all the way from Atlanta GA to visit this place and am not disappointed one it. A special thank you to Kyhra, who works at the main office, she assisted with dinner reservations, special requests and even arranged our transportation back to Kalibo airport. You won't want to leave, this resort is a small slice of heaven on earth!
I was in Boracay for the week and made 2 visits to this spa. The massage was incredible. The service is thoughtful and sweet. The environment is truly zen-like. Would make a point to return in the future!
Mandala is a Luxurious Spa Resort located at station 3 which is away from all the 'happenings' at station 2. We stayed there for 7 nights between 10th Jan to 18th Jan 2017. Location Located on a slope which takes approximately 7 mins walk leading to the beach. The pathway even though lighted is still dark in between 53 steps down. As such, we chose to walk along the main road when we stroll back in the evening. Resort is quiet and you really feel relax. However when you open up the window and step out to the balcony, you can hear music playing even at 3-4am at night. Room Room is very big with out door shower and huge bathtub. Partial sea view from the balcony. Abig grandpa chair and 2 chairs were provided. No deck chair or table in the balcony which is a shame as you can't even sit out and read. Toiletries was provided. Unlike other 5 stars hotel, they were not replenished. There's rain shower in the bath room. However pressure was not strong though water temperature was luke warm. Bed was very Low and firm. As such, one may have difficulty getting up for the elderly. Room are surrounded by greenery with in door plant as well. As the room we chose is digital detox, there's no wifi and TV in the room even though hotel.com stated there's wifi. Second day and the last day of our stay, there was a black out which was rectified very soon. Breakfast Healthy breakfast with limited selection. Portion is small and only 2 small slices of water melon provided daily. As a result, we are still hungry after breakfast. Staff 1) Check in and check out was a breeze and both staff did a good job. However, I personally feel that they should provide further training to the waiter who waited for us for breakfast and house keeper. 2) We were told by the staff who attended to us that a glass of fruit juice comes along with breakfast. And she sided what they are. However, the senior staff came and told me that I have to pay for Cantolope fruit juice as it's not included in the package. I question them and said that we were told that it's included in the breakfast. Was told that the waitress is new. 3) When I requested for small portion of banana and mango to be added on the pan cake, ( choose either banana or mango ) her immediate reply was cannot. We don't mind paying but was put off with her reply. She could have replied that she can check with her supervisior first before coming back. 4) On the third day of our arrival, we were approached by the house keeper who asked us whether do we require any cleaning in the room. Our reply to him was, whatever. We were surprised that the room was not clean, tissue paper, bottle water was not replenished. The least they can do if they are busy to clean up is to replenish the stock. 5) Bath tub has not been clean even though I have used it for 4 nights. At the end, I had to leave the water in the tub so as to get their attention. Will I go back again' Hmmmmm........
