Located in Madrid's luxurious district of Salamanca, the Miguel Ángel Hotel is only a few steps away from the historic district and is situated close to the principal museums as Prado, Thyssen-Bornemisza or Reina Sofia, but also close to the emblematic Santiago Bernabeu Stadium and the International Fais Park IFEMA. It only takes 10 minutes by car to reach the historical center of the city or the Madrid-Barajas International Airport.
"Great Location.! Easy access to Downtown."
Don't think things could get much easier! The hotel is located right at the Metro Station Gregorio Maranon and within a 1 min walk you can catch buses directly to various locations downtown as well as the train stations - if you want to see Toledo or Segovia. This a 5 star hotel, with all the the wonderful amenities -but you get what you pay for. If you want to pay 99 euros a night you might get a room that's a little worn, but take your pick - How much time are you really going to spend in your room' The rooms are being upgraded and the carpeting is being replaced with wood flooring - however this makes it a bit noisy in the room below. Finally the staff I have dealt with have been fantastic..especially Isabel and Esther at reception.
"Mixed feelings, not 5 stars"
The location is quite central. As the receptionist could not find our reservation, the second day our room keys were blocked, on and on. Instead of searching in her computer, the lady asked us to search in our computer, as if we use to travel with our desktop... Breakfast buffet was excellent, but waiters were absolutely not paying attention to clients to provide with coffee. We decided to help ourselves several times, when normaly waiters were supposed to cruise the dining room with coffee pot in their hand. And now for those with a car : the hotel has un undergroud garage, rather expensive, but as a client, you cannot secure a place. One night, around midnight, coming back from a reception, we found the parking full. We had to find another place, in the night, and walk back to the hotel under the rain. So much for customer satisfaction. At checkout, no question asked about our stay. Absolute indifference. In summary, average hotel where you are just a credit card.
"Beautiful Hotel in Downtown Madrid"
Love the decor and friendliness of the people. Just needed a place to stay before leaving the following day. Comfortable too, nicely appointed although you can hear the traffic a little since you're right next to the main thoroughfare. Centrally located and I thought the food in the restaurants was very very good. Would definitely stay again. Price was in the $120 range.
"In the Center"
This Hotel is a old fashion way, during thr night because no good double glass window, you can heard a lot of noise, let´s not forget that you are almost in the center of Madrid. If you want to walk around the center it´s a good place, and it´s comfortable.
"That doesn't deserve 5 star but it's good"
Stayed two nights , three rooms , two double room and one executive, its the same room but the executive has some advantages, but definitely, not necessary better, The decoration is quite old fashion, you cannot regulate the airco, in this case, the heating. for the button flush in the toilet , you must be very strong, because it's not easy to push, and it seems to me that is too much wasted water when you flush. The location is good but a little far to the center town. We don't go to the spa, we don't have too much time for. I think that the staff, is very friendly in the 5th floor where we checked in, but for check out, the person was not unfriendly but neither friendly, no asking if everything was ok, or if we had a good stay, nothing, it's the first time in my life that this happens, it's not a drama, but maybe in Madrid ,this weekend, the people was not very kind, we had some incidents in cafés or bars, with non kind personal. unfortunately for Madrid .
