I stayed for 3 nights at the hotel. The location is good, but the room is average. Some lamps are broken, the room is hot and noisy. We can hear voices from neighbouring rooms. I was also charged double but it was a misunderstanding and cleared after explanation.
"The best is the location "
I went to spend the weekend in London. The location is really good. You have everything nearby. London was sunny so we had a lovely time. The room is quite small and antique but it was not a big issue. Since we stayed on the 5th floor we heard traffic all the time, especially the fancy and expensive cars. The worst part was a non stop noise coming from A/C (I think), even turned off. We get late in the room and my boyfriend felt asleep. For this reason I choose to don't call the front desk. The best decision for him but the wrong for my sleep
"Average London Hotel"
We had a 50% discount and would certainly not have wished to pay normal rate for a room and bathroom with limited space on the 11th floor. There are better options in London. The chinese restaurant served a very good meal but again at a premium price. Not a hotel to which we shall be returning!
"TERRIBLE!! - WORST EXPERIENCE EVER - Worst Management and Staff and DIRTY"
I have never been compelled to write a review before today to warn any potential visitors from staying in this appalling hotel. I travel for business and personal at least twice a month and have stayed in a range of hotels from 6 stars to 2 stars. This is BY FAR the worst hotel I have had the misfortune to stay in on every single level. Besides the worst customer service and unprofessional staff and dirty facilities, let me summarise just some of the issues: 1. Arrived at the hotel after a 9 hour flight looking forward to some rest in time for my early start the next morning. I was given a room that had most of the lights without bulbs, Heater not working and Wifi not working. That was not a problem as these things happen and I patiently called the reception to fix. Spent 15 mins calling every number from concierge to housekeeping and reception and although it was still 7pm no one bothered answering the phone. Finally someone did answer and promised to send someone to the room. 1 hour later no one arrived. After i called again multiple times a man knocked on my door just as i was ready for bed to fix the heater (in a freezing dark room). After 20 mins of standing there in my pyjamas with the engineer banging and pulling the ceiling apart to fix the heater, the manager on duty called and apologised and decided to move me to an upgraded room. Unpacked Luggage in hand, i moved to the new room at 9pm 2. All night banging and loud shouts in the corridor suggested either staff was very loud or no sound proofing in the rooms. 3. The single beds are wide enough to fit a 10 year old child and although two are set together they are not properly attached and wheels on the bottom mean beds move and you fall between gaps all night leading to no comfort even at night 3. All the above pales in comparison to what happened the 3rd day. I discovered that one of my bags ( a shopping bag with VAT envenlopes) was missing. The housekeeping had thrown the bags!!! It is inconceivable that personal property in a room is thrown without permission. When escalated to the manager - zero accountability was taken and delegation to "the manager" was the only answer i would hear time and again. When i demanded that they either retrieve the missing envelopes or refund me the VAT, they refused. I threatened to call the police as this is personal property missing and they did not care. Clearly this is a common occurance. 4. Finally during my stay for WIFI in the room is practically non existent. It works for a couple of hours late at night but otherwise the connection is non existent. So if you are hoping to get any work done - not likely. The only thing working in favor of this hotel is its location. Everything else is a failure and i am still following up to see if the management take responsibility for the VAT envelopes took illegally from my room. O
"Has a Dated and Cheap Feel but Great Location"
If it weren't for the location and it being cheaper than some of its neighbouring hotels I would never stay there. The rooms are small, the bathrooms are small. The bathroom door doesn't lock and it's just this old looking sliding door. One of us had to make sure the door of her room is locked when she leaves because the lock wasn't working properly. The television was on and off and I had to call the technician to fix it. The safe in my friend's room didn't work properly. The water temperature in the shower would change in the middle of my shower. But to be fair, staff is nice and polite. The bellboys are great and helpful and welcoming. The technician who came to fix the TV issue came quickly and fixed it quickly and asked me to contact him any time there was a problem. Really great staff. And the rooms are clean enough. There's a small cafe nearby to have breakfast and they have decent coffee and good bagels. There's a huge amount of shopping nearby as well as a subway station and a bus stop. It's a pretty central location and that's the best thing about it. The hotel is in need of major updating! It doesn't feel like a four star hotel.
