Overlooking the lush Grosvenor Square, in the fashionable Mayfair, the Millennium Mayfair is 5min walk from the Bond Street and the nearest underground station, and 30min from Heathrow and Gatwick airports, with the open spaces of Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens just a short stroll away.
Just spent an amazing weekend at the Millennium Mayfair, where myself and partner got engaged. The staff were amazing and went well out of there way to plan a surprise. Special thanks to Nick the head concierge and his staff, Skender and his staff, Housekeeping for setting up the room, the bar staff in the piano bar I would just like to say big thank you to you all for making it a truly memorable weekend. look forward to a return trip soon
good hotel located in central London . our room was well appointed and very clean. reception very efficient and friendly. we felt the hotel was let down by the breakfast which was a self service affair. the bacon eggs etc were all kept in warming trays which did not keep the food hot enough.. Tea and coffee was brought promptly but several requests were made prior to toast arriving which again was luke warm. . not what I would expect from a luxury hotel .
"Attending an event at the grosvenor"
Reception staff very helpful and friendly. Bedroom very spacious but had the air conditioning system outside our window. Location of hotel was good. Only one let down was the breakfast was cold and staff did not care.
"Good location "
This hotel has a beautiful breakfast & reception area manned by friendly staff. We upgraded to a superior room which we felt was a little tired, particularly the bathroom. This is a great location for exploring the sights of London or shopping in central London.
"A First Class Service. "
I stayed at the Millennium Hotel while filming in London recently and it was one of the best experiences I have had while staying in a hotel in recent years. From the moment I arrived I was greeted by the Duty Manager who wanted to make sure everything was up to standards which of course it was. As I explained to him even my welcome to the Hotel by the receptionist was very professional and made me feel as home right away. I was then offered assistance with my luggage to my room which I declined. The bedroom was nicely presented with a welcome message on the television, "Welcome Mr Harrold" which made it very personal. The side lights were on and a lovely selection of fruit and water on the table. The bathroom was immaculate and I could not fault the cleanliness of my room or in fact the hotel. In my many years of Royal training I know what to look for and can assure you that this hotel has a professional team behind the wheel. I also noted after returning to my room in the evenings, that the housekeeping did an amazing job of making my room look as if I had only just arrived with the bathroom shining, bed beautifully remade all areas dusted and ready for my return. Breakfast was a enjoyable experience where I was looked after beautifully by Altin and Lavinia who left me asking for nothing but I must add that I was very impressed with Marinette who noticed I picked up the breakfast menu and within a few mins, which I hasten to add was long enough for me to look over it, was there to take my order. The attention to detail is 1st Class. There is also a wonderful selection on the buffet with every dietary requirement catered for and within minutes of arriving for breakfast you have your tea/coffee as you have asked for. When I returned to the hotel in the evening I decided to try the room service and must say that again this was a wonderful experience where there was a very short delay between ordering by a simple phone call with a wonderful selection to choose from within the menu you find in your room, and the delivery which was beautifully done by one the waiting staff. The food is of the highest quality, which I already knew about as I have on many occasions dined at the Millenium and I have always been so well looked after on every occasion by Head Chef Paul Danabie who is not only one of the finest chefs in the country who I have had the honour to experience his food but a gentleman who looks after his guests to the highest standard. His food is an experience not to miss even if you just pop in for their unique afternoon teas you will not be disappointed. When it came to checking out, the lovely Maria did this effortlessly and quickly which was perfect for me as I had to get across London for a final meeting after a busy few days filming before heading home. One thing I am passionate about is how we treat others as this is what my mission is life is about, bringing back etiquette and manners to civilisation. To my absolute joy this is something every single member of staff at the millenium showed me on a daily basis without fail. Every morning I was met with "Good morning sir" from every member of the team that I saw. During breakfast they engaged in light conversation which was lovely and in the evenings I would be met with a "Good evening sir" regardless of age or gender which again meant a lot to me. I was very sad to leave the Millennium after this truly wonderful experience and one I hope to repeat again very soon. To all at the Millennium and a huge thank you. Grant Harrold, The Royal Butler.
