Overlooking the lush Grosvenor Square, in the fashionable Mayfair, the Millennium Mayfair is 5min walk from the Bond Street and the nearest underground station, and 30min from Heathrow and Gatwick airports, with the open spaces of Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens just a short stroll away.
Stayed in this hotel for one night in sept 2016. The location is spot-on, close enough to all amenities, but far enough out that you don't get all the noise. Grosvenor Square is one of the premier locations in London, and the hotel doesn't let it down. The facade and lobby do it justice. The check-in process was quick and easy and we were able to leave our bags before we went to the room, to make the most of the day. The hotel even rang me when the room was available. The room itself, a standard room had everything you'd expect, and the room and the facilities were suitable. The bed was massive, very comfortable, and I slept like a log all night. the bathroom was well decorated and it all worked without leaking. We didn't eat in the hotel, as we had other plans, but we did have a drink in the bar at the end of the evening, which was pleasant, with a pianist/singer crooning out some old favourites. However, by far and away the best aspect of this hotel is the location. Right in the middle of Mayfair, 1/2 a mile from Hyde Park/Piccadilly and Old Bond Street. Great location for a shopping break, or as we did, a theatre trip. Would definitely return.
"Very pleasant hotel with fabulous location "
My husband and I stayed one night at this hotel. We chose it due to the location mainly. The reviews being mixed were a bit daunting but we had a lovely stay. Yes the hotel room is not exactly modern but I quite like the dark wood furniture and older look. It felt solid built and was well sound proofed. Our room 560 overlooked Adams Row to the back of the hotel. It was quiet and had just about everything we needed for the one night stay. My only additions would be more accessible plugs and a full length mirror. The bed was comfortable, the lighting fine, bathroom clean, shower powerful and water hot. Plenty of towels were provided and the usual toiletries. We had one sash windrow in our room which we were able to open and that was appreciated on a warm September afternoon. The location of the hotel was perfect. 10 mins from Oxford street and 10 mins from Hyde park. We had a lovely walk around the area before our evening function. We parked at the NCP car park under the hotel. It was £34 booked in advance. Not bad price for central London. I understand the hotel may reimburse part parking charges so it is worth asking in advance if you are parking for a few days. We didn't have breakfast. Chose to eat out the morning after our stay. The hotel was busy and bustling in the lobby areas and bar of the hotel. Yet we didn't see one other guest on our floor and certainly didn't hear any noise from above or either side of our room. All in all a pleasant problem free stay at a fabulously located West End of London hotel.
"Nice hotel to stay in "
We had a big family booking 4 rooms , checking in wasn't that easy as the hotel were full " it didn't make sense to me as I had a confirmed booking" . The rooms are small in general, classic design "not my type " . The location is perfect of u are someone who enjoys woking around . The service is good Staff are ok in general The price are a little bit higher then what's expected. Enjoy your stay Ajayan
"Great London Hotel!"
Typical London hotel, set in Mayfair, right opposite beautiful Grosvenor Park and walking distance from New Bond, Regent and Oxford Streets. If you are after a hotel with good location then this is a great place to be, being quite centrally located and places easy to walk to, weather permitting. We had a club room, which was quite spacious and well appointed with a comfortable king size bed, writing desk and sofa. The bathroom had a bathtub and a shower, and the usual amenities which were replaced everyday. There is a kettle with tea and coffee making facilities, however noticed the cleaning lady washing the cups – in the bathroom and wiping clean with a raggedy cloth, and needless to say, didn’t use these facilities again! The club room comes with a hot breakfast served in the club lounge, which was quite nice, with a lovely view looking towards the London Eye. The club lounge manager was not the friendliest which was a pity, because the lounge itself was quite nice to sit and relax in. The hotel has a piano bar and on site restaurant, and has a good room service menu. The staff (other than the club lounge manager) are very friendly – especially the concierge and bellboys, who were incredibly helpful and always had a smile every time I came into the hotel. We had a great stay here on a mixed trip – business and pleasure and it ticked all the boxes for us and we will definitely return.
Very expensive, but fantastic. I was lucky to get a good deal - worth every penny and more. Pure luxury from the moment you walk through the door. We only had breakfast and drinks during our stay. Breakfast was amazing and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. They even rang around to source theatre tickets for us. So close to all the main attractions and shopping. Perfect location. They offer reduced parking on the NCP car park literally behind the hotel. Loved it and would completely recommend it.
