"Location, Service and Comfort!"
Recently sold my condo in Buenos Aires, so for my latest visit, I had the rare task of finding a place to stay that was affordable and in a good location. The NH Crillon was an excellent choice. Comfortable, clean rooms at a very good price, and a location that is hard to beat. The hotel is just two blocks from Florida Street in one direction, and 9 de Julio in the other. The breakfast was diverse and the service was amazing. The staff went out of their way to help us with anything we needed, from a special anniversary breakfast for my parents on their special day, to research on packaging and transportation services to help us with our move. I will definitely be going back to the Crillon on my next visit, and look forward to seeing some of the friendly faces that helped our family during a difficult week.
"Good Budget Hotel"
On our recent visit to Argentina and Uruguay, my husband and I used the NH Buenos Aires Crillon as our base hotel. Upon our first visit, our room was not ready, but the hotel staff provided us with refreshments in the lounge while we waited. We stayed in three different rooms 402 (3 nights), 507 (1 night) and 702 (2 nights). I recommend a suite (402 or 702), they are much quieter and over look the park on Agenda Santa Fe. Room 507 is a standard room and very small. Also, it is very noisy - both street noise and internal hotel noise (can hear the guest next door bathroom visits, telephone wake-up calls, moving furniture, etc). Luckily we only had to stay in this room for one night between our trip from Iguazo Falls to Montevideo. The hotel staff are helpful with information, ordering cabs, storing our luggage while we were away for a few days at Iguazo Falls and Uruguay. We never had the opportunity to visit the restaurant, as it was always closed while we were there. The restaurant across the street (Dandy) makes a good breakfast, but the menu is limited.
"Higly recommend this Hotel"
For the excellent quality of the hotel and the friendly professionalism of the staff as well as the superb location. Spacious room and bathroom with all modern appliances,. I highly recommend this hotel for a longer stay because of it's perfect location to explore Buenos Aires.
"Great value for great location"
It is a small boutique hotel along Sante Fe Avenue that's more basic than luxury. The location is excellent and convenient as it's just right above a subway train station and across a bus stop that takes you to San Telmo and La Boca. It's also just about 10 minutes away from Galleria Pacifico and Florida Street where the shopping is so it's great. The hotel lobby is quite nice but the rest of the floors do show their age a little. In fact, we were at first given a room but had to change room as one of the aircon wasn't working and there's also a slight sewage smell from the bathroom. But the other room we got was okay. The rooms are all very spacious with a nice wooden floor big enough for you to do a bit of Tango if you wish. The bed I find is a bit too firm so if you're not used to sleeping on very firm mattress, it can be a bit uncomfy and the sheets could also be better. The bathroom is spacious and nice. Service is great and the front desk staff are very helpful. In fact, a couple of days prior to my arrival, they sent me an email to ask if I would require airport transfer so I thought that's helpful. Also, I must say the room service is really quite tasty. I was in Buenos Aires during the Xmas and New Year's period so I did order room service and the pasta penne regate was really quite yummy and so was the vegetable soup. Overall, the hotel is comfortable but I wouldn't categories it under a luxury hotel and it does need a bit of maintenance to upkeep. Location is great so it's overall a decent stay.
Room is great, perfect size. the bed is very comfortable, bathroom is ok, the whole place is very clean. even though it is located in an avenue it is very quiet, the hotel was full and no one disturbed us, it means walls are thick. It is a very old hotel, it has been renovated and is very well take care of. The people are very professional and nice. Front desk es great, they do the impossible to assist you at all times. Breakfast is excellent, all type of fruits and pastries, yogurt, etc. The hotel is very well located, closed to everything.
