"Great location and service"
Hotel is in excellent location . Clean property and friendly staff. Great breakfast. Beware of room 113. Cafe outside window and noise until 4am. Get a room higher up or away from bar.excellent internet. Also give yourself plenty of time to get to airport as buenos Aries has horrendous traffic and could be worse when there is a strike. Front desk was very helpful and extended late checkout if available. I would stay again if I return to the city. Short walk to Porto madero, Florida street and many eating establishments. Excellent air conditioning in room on extremely hot day.
"Nice hotel with helpful staff"
Hotel is well located (close to puerto madero and also avenida florida) with good amenities but one special mention would be Victoria the receptionist who was very friendly and helped us patiently with all our requests. Thanks a lot Victoria!!
"Fabulous facilities and service. Victoria, the receptionist was very helpful"
We had the opportunity to stay here, in the heart of a great city. Everything was nice and cosy, and everyone, especially Victoria, made our stay a lot more pleasant. I would recommend everyone to stay there.
"Nice Hotel, But Soulless"
My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel is situated close to both the city centre and the waterfront area with lots of restaurants, cafes and bars nearby. We had a large Superior room with shower over the bath, but note that you need to request a room with a bath if you want one as many rooms are shower only. This is a somewhat “soulless” hotel” - we had to seek out a bartender to serve us drinks and again to sign for them. At breakfast service was equally poor and inconsistent. There are plenty of staff and chefs constantly replenishing plates, but we were never asked if we wanted freshly cooked eggs. Indeed we had to seek a waitress out to order tea and coffee. On the other hand, the reception staff were excellent, very customer-focussed and could not do enough to assist us. Based on our experience, we are undecided as to whether or not we would choose to stay here again if we return to Buenos Aires.
"I hate to complain but......"
We have stayed in many NH hotels in South America and Mexico and have always enjoyed them and recommended them to others Our experience with the nh Lancaster in BA began with and early morning check in after a very long flight that had been pre approved by the lovely and helpful Victoria our first encounter at the front desk was with Diego Diego should takes some lessons in hospitality and being pleasant to guests. He insisted an early check in wasn't possible even after showing him the letter from Victoria saying an early check in was fine We booked a double room with double bed. He said the only room he had was a twin bed room. We were soooo tired we said we would take anything This room was nothing like any of the pictures on the internet booking site. We had twin beds and the room was about 12 feet by 12 feet. The shower was frightening to get in and out of and very dangerous. We were both concerned with falling due to the configuration of the bath tub and shower glass The hotel itself is lovely. The breakfast buffet doesn't compare with any of the Nh hotels we have stayed in but it was ok Diego started our stay off in a very bad manner. No effort was made to get us the room we booked I would say if you don't have to deal with Diego and get the room you booked it is a good location clean and the twin beds were comfortable with nice linens. We would probably not stay there again in BA
