"It's definitly not a five star hotel"
We love Galaxy complex, always go there for the water park. This is the first time we stayed at Okura (one of the six hotels can use Galaxy pool). I booked executive room with club access. The room is small and old. When I ask about coffee maker, they said it's only available for the suites. In terms of club access, don't waste your money. They are close to none. It says afternoon tea and evening cocktail. The truth is there are only a few pieces of sandwich and cookies (as small as your finger). And the staff watch you like you are a thief. I stopped by at the club to pick up a peppermint tea bag since they don't have it in the room, the lady was trying to stop me. After I told her I only need a tea bag, I heard her ask the guy sit at the counter in Chinese "quick, check if she has club access". Whatever you ask, they only offer it to suite. Maybe I am asking too much:) I have to move to Marriott next door after staying at Okura for two nights. I have to say it's one of the worst Macau hotel I have stayed. Oh, to be fair, I have to mention, breakfast is decent (but you have to pay for the kids separate). And the check out manager was helpful.

"Excellent customer services! "
Reserved a junior suite and a lady brought us to go 6/F for the check-in. We were very happy as they upgraded our suite to superior one! The suite is spacious, clean and comfortable! Executive Lounge Staff were very nice, friendly and helpful, especially they proactively arranged our afternoon tea to following day once noticed us just finish our lunch at 3pm! In addition, we encountered Typhoon Signal No.8 during our stay so we decided to stay one more night in the deluxe room only, and they also helped us to change the room very smooth. The Executive Lounge also good for serving breakfast, afternoon tea and evening drinks. Definitely will consider to choose this hotel next time.
"16 times 4 years 1 hotel"
I have stayed in this hotel for 16 times in the last 4 years. The first time I stayed in a standard room. It was really standard and nothing outstanding except the wardrobe which could be opened in the bathroom. This is a good design but is not found in other hotels that I have visited. The second to the 15th time, I stayed in the Superior Suites. They were all located at the end of the corridor on each floor. The good point is no one will pass through your room so you may enjoy some tranquility. The design of the suite is excellent. There is a toilet near the entrance and another one in the bathroom. There are two doors between the bedroom and the bathroom. Each door is next to a bed. There are two more doors between the bedroom and the living room. By closing all the 4 doors, you will hear the sound coming from the living room and the bathroom. Steam shower, sauna room, jacuzzi and two basins are available in the bathroom. However, in the sauna room it is possible to hear the sound from the bathroom of the Junior Suite. For the 16th time, I stayed in the Royal Suite. It was located at the other end of the corridor which was close to the lift lobby. Occasionally, it was a bit noisy. The room was very spacious. The sauna room was larger than the one in the Superior Suite and was more comfortable. The jacuzzi was much larger such that you may need a life jacket if you can't swim. It was only the two television sets that were the same as those in Superior Suites. I think larger television sets should be used in the Royal Suite. Unfortunately, the balcony is no longer accessible by hotel guests. I think there must be a good reason for the hotel to lock the door of the balcony. I was given a birthday cake, a bottle of red wine and a birthday card by the hotel. 6 to 7 hotel staff members came into my room and sang the birthday song to me. It was so surprise and so warm. I felt that they were my friends rather than hotel employees. Credit should be given to the hotel management. The hospitality of the hotel and the suites are the reasons why I keep coming back. I am sure that I will stay in this hotel in my next Macau trip.
We had the most comfortable stay at Junior Suite at Okura Hotel for our honeymoon in Macau. The General Manager prepared a handwritten card for us as well as a bottle of wine and cake as surprise! The ambience was so calm unlike the rest of the hotels in Cotai Strip. For sure we will stay here again!
