Easy access to the Hotel Panorama from the “Marco Polo Airport” by taking the shuttle connecting boat "Alilaguna" (10€ per person; every 30 minutes), or from the Treviso airport (Ryanair), by taking the shuttle bus to the Piazzale Roma.
Friendly staff, nice room, good breakfast. Location near the waterbus. Super!Comment of T. Suzanne , Netherlands the 2015-11-27
Stayed here for a week during half term after reading a number of hotel reviews and having not been to Venice before. Booked a superior room which had amazing views across the lagoon and was definately worth the additional cost. The hotel is of an older style and gave the impression of a slightly faded grandeur, however the location is excellent as it is opposite the water bus terminal. My husband who is a light sleeper did say the traffic noise at night was a slight problem (so used earplugs) but I did not hear anything. The receptionist staff were extremely helpful and we're able to answer our usual tourist type queries. We would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
"Always a winner year after year"
My husband and I have been to Italy many times and every time we have stayed at this hotel. The consistency of the staff, upkeep of the hotel and welcome feel make this hotel a winner year after year after year. It is situated right across from the Vaporetto stop and the buses also stop right outside the doors across the road. Lido is the perfect island to stay on. Far enough to relax away from the crowds and truly be in touch with the locals. The hotel is also nicely situated up the road from a supermarket and many retail shops as well as cafes and restaurants..although you could bring a car you definitely will not need one. You can walk from the hotel to the beach in 20 minutes if you like. There is a direct boat from Lido to St Marks that gets you there in 15 minutes. There are also many vaporettos to the other islands as well as Lido is directly serviced from the airport to the island by Alliliguna. The hotel offers a nice breakfast of fresh meats cheeses, cereals, fruit, eggs and juices to satisfy. They are completely at your disposal for any questions or reservations that you may need to make and even offer tickets directly at the hotel to some events. Eugenio and Francesca as well as the rest of the staff make you feel as if no request is ever to large or small. There is a nice terrace that faces the lagoon where you can sit and bring a beverage to enjoy the sunset. The rooms are clean and despite whatever time we left the room was always made up! The beds are comfortable and the bathroom spacious with good hot water and water pressure. The French style windows open to allow a good breeze and the heat works very well. I love that they have a luggage rack which seems to be disappearing in hotels these days. There was plenty of room and hangers in the wardrobe to accommodate both my things as well as my husbands. With superb staff, beautiful rooms and views, the beach, shops and cafes and restaurants so closely located there really is no debating where to stay when in Venice! If you want to live the true Italian lifestyle away from the tourist hub a bub then you must stay here. It continues to remain year after year our home away from home.
We stayed here for four nights last week. On arrival we were so pleased to see how close we were to the water enabling us to see over to Venice. The receptionist was absolutely lovely and couldn't be more helpful. We were shown to our room and it was very spacious. We had an en-suite bathroom with a sink each, a shower, toilet and a spa bath. Everything was great and the service impeccable. Breakfast each morning was also very good and they had a huge choice. I would definitely return.
Hotel in a great location for visiting Venice and the islands, just across the road from the Alilaguna and ACTV water bus stops. Our room was adequately sized and very clean. As there is a public square at the side with bars and shops it can be noisy but it is not a problem. Very friendly and helpful staff and a fabulous continental breakfast with almost everything, made our stay very enjoyable. Round the corner is a bakery, with lovely fresh bread ,cakes and pizza. A must to visit is the island of Murano for glass ornaments and Burano for lace and masks
"Perfect hotel for exploring Venice."
We cannot rate this hotel highly enough. Although the room was a bit small, it was all very clean and had everything we needed. Our balcony gave us a great view over to Venice and the Vaporetto boats were right across the road. The square below our room was a bit noisy but once the windows and shutters were closed we couldn't hear a thing. Breakfast was great, with teapots and boiling water to make a decent cup of tea. The staff were all lovely and very helpful and well informed. Hope to return soon.
