Easy access to the Hotel Panorama from the “Marco Polo Airport” by taking the shuttle connecting boat "Alilaguna" (10€ per person; every 30 minutes), or from the Treviso airport (Ryanair), by taking the shuttle bus to the Piazzale Roma.
Friendly staff, nice room, good breakfast. Location near the waterbus. Super!Comment of T. Suzanne , Netherlands the 2015-11-27
The Hotel Panorama is wonderful. The island of Lido is gorgeous and the hotel is perfectly located. It is literally across the street from the water taxi and the beach is down the block. The staff was wonderfully kind and helpful. I will absolutely stay at Hotel Panorama!
"Short city break"
We chose the Panorama on cost and TripAdvisor references - and were very pleased. Alilaguna boat from airport to just across the road from hotel made late evening arrival a low hassle event. Hotel staff are all very friendly and helpful. Advice on transport and places proved accurate. We were offered but declined upgrade to superior lagoon-facing rooms - which by end of stay we felt had been right choice as we spent little time in room with shutters and curtains open. Might make more sense in summer. Nice to be outside Venice itself - but with easy boat and bus access from across the road. No evening restaurant in hotel but plenty nearby including a specialist vegetarian/ vegan one only a street away. Hotel breakfast is a self-serve of teas, coffees (machine), cereals, breads, cold meats, pates, cheeses and boiled eggs. Enough to keep you going most of day! The friendly staff deserve a second mention. Free Wi-Fi. Option offered for trip by speed boat taxi to a Mutant glass factory. We took it - interesting to see glass work and the phenomenal 'temple of glass' showroom. We got no pressure to buy - but you'll need to make own return transport arrangements.
Lovely stay, perfect location, staff friendly and helpful. breakfast was more than adequate. Lovely terrace views of Venice Rooms clean and in good decorative order Wifi good Great hot shower with good water pressure Near lots of great restaurants and bars Great choice to stay on Lido and using water bus to travel to Venice. Get 3 or 7 day travel ticket very good value.
We stayed for 3 days at this hotel which was an ideal place to stay - close to bars, restaurants and the vaporetto stop. The staff are so professional and helpful. Breakfast good. The room was comfortable, overlooking a square. There was some noise from the road . However, the Lido is a less frenetic place to stay, away from the huge crowds on the main island. The vaporetto trip across and back is easy and quick. We also had a free trip to Murano. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
"Going to Venice - stay in the Lido at the Hotel Panorama!!"
What a great surprise on so many levels! Up until the Hotel Panorama and the gorgeous Lido, I was turning into one of those curmudgeons who has a love-hate relationship with Venice. I now realise this had more to do with visiting during the 'high' season, when the Biennale is in full swing etc. and trying to get a good rest was nigh impossible whilst the whole of sweaty humanity pressed shoulder to shoulder on the bridges as the entire island felt as though it was sinking into oblivion. ... So when my partner suggested we try the Lido, was was still rather skeptical. I needn't have been. This was a terrific decision if you love travelling by water-taxi and love even more pristine beaches, lovely cafes and streets not heaving with multitudes over-anxious non-speaking Italian creatures. The Hotel Panorama was the icing on the cake - staff were fantastic, breakfast, substantial and you can even take the morning dishes up onto a roof terrace overlooking the waters. Highly recommended.
