Easy access to the Hotel Panorama from the “Marco Polo Airport” by taking the shuttle connecting boat "Alilaguna" (10€ per person; every 30 minutes), or from the Treviso airport (Ryanair), by taking the shuttle bus to the Piazzale Roma.
Friendly staff, nice room, good breakfast. Location near the waterbus. Super!Comment of T. Suzanne , Netherlands the 2015-11-27
"Perfect hotel for exploring Venice."
We cannot rate this hotel highly enough. Although the room was a bit small, it was all very clean and had everything we needed. Our balcony gave us a great view over to Venice and the Vaporetto boats were right across the road. The square below our room was a bit noisy but once the windows and shutters were closed we couldn't hear a thing. Breakfast was great, with teapots and boiling water to make a decent cup of tea. The staff were all lovely and very helpful and well informed. Hope to return soon.
"Lovely hotel in great location"
We'd highly recommend staying at the Hotel Panorama. Great location near the water bus with fast transfers to Venice (route 14 takes 10 mins and there are 2 an hour). Excellent lagoon views. Fantastic and helpful staff - like a mini Tourist Information centre with very useful tips. Clean and very tidy hotel. We had a lagoon view which was great seeing Venice in the morning, at noon and at night. Lovely continental breakfast, more than adequate. Nice terrace area. A bit noisy outside at times with buses and boats but worth it for the convenience of easy travel. Free (fast) Wifi. We'll definitely go back to this hotel.
"Excellent base to explore Venice"
Traveled as a couple to Venice in April and wanted an alternative to staying in Venice itself. The Panorama is situated on the Lido and an excellent place to explore the whole of the Venice lagoon. We paid for 3 day Vaporetto ticket which effectively gives you unlimited travel throughout the whole of the lagoon on the public water buses. Excellent value. The Panorama gave us easy access to all of the tourist parts of Venice but gave us a haven of peace in the evenings, away from the tourist hordes. The number of daily tourists to Venice is over half again the size of its permanent population, so a rest at the end of the day was welcome. Also the Lido is a great place in itself, the summer resort for those living in and around the Venice area. We hired a couple of cycles for a few hours and explored the whole of the island, it is completely flat and the locals all ride bikes. We visited the open air market on the lido and enjoyed that experience as well. The Panorama itself is a lovely hotel, very friendly staff and very spacious rooms with en-suite facilities. (if you like to make coffee in your room take a travel kettle).
The Hotel Panorama is wonderful. The island of Lido is gorgeous and the hotel is perfectly located. It is literally across the street from the water taxi and the beach is down the block. The staff was wonderfully kind and helpful. I will absolutely stay at Hotel Panorama!
"Short city break"
We chose the Panorama on cost and TripAdvisor references - and were very pleased. Alilaguna boat from airport to just across the road from hotel made late evening arrival a low hassle event. Hotel staff are all very friendly and helpful. Advice on transport and places proved accurate. We were offered but declined upgrade to superior lagoon-facing rooms - which by end of stay we felt had been right choice as we spent little time in room with shutters and curtains open. Might make more sense in summer. Nice to be outside Venice itself - but with easy boat and bus access from across the road. No evening restaurant in hotel but plenty nearby including a specialist vegetarian/ vegan one only a street away. Hotel breakfast is a self-serve of teas, coffees (machine), cereals, breads, cold meats, pates, cheeses and boiled eggs. Enough to keep you going most of day! The friendly staff deserve a second mention. Free Wi-Fi. Option offered for trip by speed boat taxi to a Mutant glass factory. We took it - interesting to see glass work and the phenomenal 'temple of glass' showroom. We got no pressure to buy - but you'll need to make own return transport arrangements.
