"Friendly staff, great location, overpriced and dated"
We stayed here for one night as a family of four in a two-story suite. The room was dated and overpriced, but spacious. We loved the location, right in town, but wish there was a space to relax outdoors (the small courtyard is where the smokers tend to congregate and there wasn't much seating). Breakfast lacked good, fresh choices. However, service was friendly and accommodating. We arrived early, and were invited to a complimentary breakfast. Staff was always kind. Overall, the hotel was fine for a one night stay but did not seem to be a good value.
This hotel and Hvar during the winter is magic. From the hotel balconies is a great view of Hvar seaside. If you like small ,boutique hotel it will be hard to beat Hotel Park. Our room was very comfortable with plenty of space. Would recommend this hotel to everyone visiting Hvar.
"a slight trek for a beautiful location!"
so maybe i didn't read the directions to this place well, and it likely was explained somewhere, but i didn't see it, our car's gps was confused too, and having not been to hvar before, this hotel is on the "inside" of the city, you cannot just park next to the hotel and walk in, what we did is found a cheap public parking spot and walked (with a couple bags in hand) and found this great little hotel. we walked through the town square and up a lot of steps (prob not great for individuals with leg problems or who cannot walk these distances easily). The lobby has A/C!!! this is a must for me in the end of a warm summer. we checked in and a young hotel staff member (who was working there for the summer) followed us to our parked car and drove it around the corner to the hotel dirt parking lot and then proceeded to carry the rest of our luggage back up a slight incline to the hotel (God bless him, in the summer heat), we were shown to our 1st room (for one night, we added this extra night onto the beginning of our stay and had to stay in a different room) that was tucked away onto the back of the hotel, it was a little "dark" (light wise) but HAD A/C!!! so nice and cool. the room had a separate sitting room from the bedroom and a decent shower only bathroom. nice enough. for the next two nights we were shown to our 2nd room, which had a beautiful view of the ocean/marina. again this place had a separate sitting room with couch and tv and a separate bedroom (facing the quiet back of the hotel) and a decent bathroom (shower only), the hotel had a beautiful stone facade and a great breakfast (that was included) on a huge patio facing the ocean/marina. the staff was very helpful and assisted us in booking a semi private sailing trip to the islands (which was awesome and a MUST for anyone visiting), on the day of departure (sad face) we were again helped by the summer hotel staff guy, who carried our stuff to the dirt parking lot down the hill, and bid us farewell, so overall a nice place to stay with a/c, albeit a little trek from were you park (if you have a car), a shorter walk from the ferry drop off (remember you have to climb stairs), but great location inside the city for views, short walks to all the restaurants and bars and sightseeing and shopping and helpful staff, i'd recommend staying here!
This Hotel was very nice and updated . A short way from the docks and in the center of town . Because it is a little elevated the views are wonderful especially at sunrise and sunset . Staff was pleasant , informative and a pleasure to interface with . The breakfast was delicious
"Great location on a fantasy island"
When you arrive in a place that is so fantastic, you tend to love everything, even if it has some minor flaws. My experience at Hotel Park Hvar was very good, given its special location in a town that restricts car circulation. Despite not having elevators, the hotel had rooms big and comfortable enough to please. The views of old town and the harbor are quaint and inspiring. Breakfast could be better though. If you are arriving by car, please do not forget to ask directions about parking. It will save you at least half hour upon arrival.
