Placed at "The gold triangle", an unique cultural location surrounded by "Museo del Prado","Thyssen Bornemisza" and "Reina Sofia Art Museum".
This hotel was likely the one my spouse & I least enjoyed while travelling throughout Spain. We opted for a standard room which was pretty standard. I realize that the hotel was trying to be environmentally responsible but the dim lighting in the hallways & rooms threw me off. The lighting was so dim, that even the reading light over the bed was inadequate to read a book. The water in the sink taps was also timed making it difficult (& annoying) to get a drink, wash your face etc. Every day - the linen carts were left in the hallways. Not sure if there was a storage shortage or what. The breakfast was expensive so we ate at a MacDonald's down the street. I think the hotel caters to large tour groups, which seemed to be the priority as I found the staff pleasant but rather indifferent. The bartender was the most pleasant & accommodating person I found during our stay. There is a small gym there which also needs some better lighting. The best news is that the 'hop on - hop off bus' is very close by as is the train station.
"Free Breakfast for Sunday Stay is a SCAM"
I booked this hotel specifically for their free breakfast for Sunday night stay offer, only to find I was not on the list for breakfast the Monday morning. Checking with reception confirmed the denial for breakfast. On complaining, I was offered a free breakfast for my next stay, whatever day of the week. On explaining that I will not ever be returning to the hotel, they stated that no other form of compensation was possible. So how can anyone be refused the breakfast on a Monday morning when they have such an offer' I propose that the breakfast denial was deliberate, in an attempt to gain an extra booking. I suggest this because how can anyone be refused the breakfast on a Monday morning when they have such an offer'
This hotel was recommende to me by a ravel agent in Toremolinos.Reception staff and room were excelent, but the breakfast quality and quantity were very poor.Bar services and staff were very very poor, and the staff there need more atention by the hotel managment to learn and do better customer services attitude.
"Good hotel, confortable and big space"
This is a good hotel situated near important landmarks. The room was very spacious, as so the bathroom. The breakfast is also very good and the staff very nice. Just two drawbacks, in the reception I was talking in English and one of the recepcionist was insisting on answering everything in Spanish. Well no problem for me since I am Portuguese and I understood everything, the problem is that I have some doubts if he would understand me talking Portuguese (or even portunhol/portuñol). Anyway, my bf talks Spanish so maybe he realized that. Another drawback was the bed that was making noises everytime you move. In a 4star hotel this should not happen. So I guess it was 2 particular cases that cannot be generalize to all clients. Besides that, I am very pleased to had my stay there and I might repeat. I have also to refer that the hotel had the careful of attending my request made during the reservation, which is a valuable point. Keep the nice and helpful staff and the good breakfast.
