Placed at "The gold triangle", an unique cultural location surrounded by "Museo del Prado","Thyssen Bornemisza" and "Reina Sofia Art Museum".
"Great location next to Prado, Museo Reina Sofia, nice and very clean rooms, good beds"
Very central, nice rooms, good beds, calm , breakfast okay, not great, waiters during breakfast a bit too quick and noisy, all in all: good place to stay at in Madrid. Front desk staff not ready to get information on foreseen registration and shuttle service during a conference. But nice and friendly. Good transfer option from and to the airport for 30 euros.
Very cosy, clean rooms and excellent breakfast.Perfect location for tourists with many facilities near by.Within easy walking distance to Plaza Mayor(15 minutes), Retiro park and museums.Might be little noisy at nights as there are some bars around(didnt bother us though).loved it!
"Modern with comfy beds"
The hotel is located near Atocha train station. A good selection of bars and restaurants in the nearby area. The standard room was modern and with a very good double bed. The TV was brand new with a great selection of channels. The breakfast room offered a good selection of dishes for breakfast. The stay was unspectacular. Does the job as a business travellers hotel, but offers nothing of particualr interest in what is otherwise a very interesting city.
"Madrid Hotel near the train station"
Hotel is clean and slightly upscale. Less than 10 min walk to the train station so super convenient. We did witness a failed pick pocket attempt but if you are a smart traveler and keep purses zipped, money and phones secured + pay attention to surroundings it is very safe even at night. Right around the corner is the Prado which has several museums and less than 20 min walk is Sol and Mayor squares which are significant locations to find. Sol has free walking tours at 10:30 AM you can join. Overall I would stay here again.
Stayed 3 nights - room only - March 2017 Booked a "Superior Room with Terrace" which is one of the more expensive rooms in this hotel. The website states - "The superior rooms with terrace contemporary designed are tastefully furnished with individual care and attention to details with tea & Coffee maker facilities, complimentary bottle of water and additional amenities." There were no tea/coffee facilities - so I asked for them on the second day in the morning. When I returned to the hotel in the afternoon I went to check with reception as to whether this has been done. The lady in reception stated that she thought that was something they had provided previously but not currently. I showed her the website. She then asked who I had booked the hotel through - implying that what facilities you get depend on that. The tea/coffee items were of a bare minimum that any UK B&B would be ashamed of. On departure I told the man on reception that we had used one bottle of water from the minibar. He instantly asked for E2.50. I mentioned the complimentary bottle of water stated in the website, which he apparently was not aware of. Such small mindedness is staggering. What happens when the reception staff have to deal with a serious issue'
