The location of the Hotel Petit Palace Plaza is perfect for both tourists and business travelers. Nearby you will find the amazing buildings of the Stock Exchange and the Ritz. A short walk via Plaza de la Lealtad and Alfonso XII street brings you to the beautiful park El Retiro.
The hotel is also situated in the so-called collecting Art Walk – an area with the three most prestigious museums of the city such as the Museo del Prado, the Reina Sofia and Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum.
Thanks to its unbeatable location other emblematic attractions such as the Gran Via, Retiro Park and the Plaza Mayor can be reached easily and quickly. Going to Airport Barajas International Airport and the IFEMA only takes a short car ride.
Very good hotel in excellent location - particularly for museums and galleries.Comment of B. Stephen , United Kingdom the 2014-09-30
Comment of B. Andrée , France the 2013-10-18
Location, location, location! Short walking distance to the Parque de Retiro & the Prado Museum. Our room had a small view, was clean and could house 5 comfortably in one room (with patio.) The staff was courteous even with our very late arrival and departure. The breakfast looked amazing and a good value, but we did not eat it due to our timing. The building appears to be a converted apartment building with lifts and stairs, and it is a great use of the space. You would enjoy this hotel if you enjoy simplicities of travel in a boutique experience, not requiring or desiring amenities of a large chain- for we were not left without and our needs were absolutely met. There were even bikes for use (it was cold when we went so we walked instead, but the bike room had various seats, etc.) Our family will definitely stay here again when we revisit Madrid.
"Great Location, excellent staff and very well lit rooms. "
This is a wonderful hotel in a super location among far pricier hotels. Located between Prado, Botanical Gardens, Thyssen Bormieza and Reina Sophia with parks nearby. The staff here are extremely well trained and very helpful. They went out of there way to be welcoming and helpful. This is a medium size hotel which is especially nice. Rooms are comfortable and incredibly well lit unlike any American hotel. Modern bathroom with very cool shower. I did not have breakfast as I was leaving early but was told that I could book it at arrival for 13 euros or have it on demand for 15 euros. There is a restaurant on site. About a 10 minute walk to an area with nice bars and restaurants meaning the area around the hotel was peaceful - a hard to find quality in Madrid accommodation. Generous toiletries and overall great rooms. The hotel is a joy and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
"Very good hotel"
Very friendly and helpful staff, both on reception and in the breakfast room; comfortable rooms with well appointed bathrooms; great location. The breakfast buffet is excellent, although the sight of a Nespresso machine made me twitch (a personal taste thing!).
"A comforable hotel with quiet rooms and helpful staff."
I have stayed in this hotel a number of times and have enjoyed the comfortable quiet rooms and the excellent breakfast and service across the hotel. Reception staff are informed and helpful and the restaurant staff are most pleasant and attentive.
"A great find near everything in Madrid"
This is a really good place, extremely friendly and accommodating, very centrally located especially if you're planning on museum hopping. The hotel is mostly very tasteful, clean and comfortable. It is very affordable! If you go, I highly recommend you spend an extra 50 to get room 506, which is on the rooftop with its own private terrace. The furnishings are pleasant, the bed could be firmer, and the mini bar could be better stocked. The staff is so friendly and helpful! I'm not sure if this place was designed by committee, but whoever was in charge of putting room numbers on the doors really was a weak link! This is a classic building, but the room numbers are like out of the Jetsons, totally out of character and really annoying!!! But really, I think most people would be delighted here, as were we!
