The Petit Palace Plaza Malaga hotel is situated round the corner from Calle Larios, one of the busiest shopping streets, next to Picasso Museum, the Cathedral of Malaga, Thyssen museum, Grifralfaro Castle, and the Citadel.
It is also 2 kilometres from the railway station and 10 kilometres from the airport.
This unique hotel is located centrally in the old town. Great service and good breakfast buffet.Comment of C. LW , Netherlands the 2014-11-13
Muy bien situado y un personal dedicado y muy profesional.Comment of R. Ramon , Spain the 2014-06-21
I stayed at this hotel in May and considered it at that point to be in a great location. I found the staff to be excellent and the room was spacious, airy and comfortable. I wrote a review to that effect. Unfortunately on this occasion our experience was less than positive and I will summarise the issues below: On Thursday 22 September breakfast proved to be shambolic. The tables were not properly set, there was limited cutlery available, the hot buffet food was actually stone cold and there seemed in general to be a lack of any organisation. There was certainly an improvement at breakfast on the following day but the shambles of the previous day left a mark. In terms of the room the bed was very comfortable but the room was small with very little option to sit anywhere other than on the bed. I also considered the room to be over-priced in terms of the facilities available. Tania at reception is a star in how she interacts with all the different hotel guests and always goes the extra mile to try to help people with their questions and queries. As indicated I thought this was an outstanding city centre hotel in a great location on my previous visit however my view following this most most recent visit is less positive given the issues outlined previously.
"Super location, lovely room and good breakfast."
Extremely friendly and helpful staff when checking in... Location is super with all restaurants, shopping, museum and cathedral on your doodoorstep. Lovely Room. It was quiet and squeaky clean. Breakfast was very good .Would definitely recommend.
"Petit Palace Plaza Hotel"
This is a nice boutique hotel located in the center of Malaga. It is surrounded by the extensive pedestrian walkways where you can find a huge variety of restaurants cafes, and shops. Our favorite was the Central Cafe round the corner in the main square where we had breakfast and other meals most days. The staff were extremely helpful and efficient, even helping us obtain tickets to the Alhambra in Granada which were hard to find. Our room was very spacious with a large bathroom. My wife's only complaint about the bathroom was that there was only a very small vanity. The beds (two singles pushed together) were harder than we were used to, as were the pillows. Only two electrical outlets - take an extension chord if you need to charge electronics. Free and efficient WiFi in the room. If you rent a car and want to park near the hotel, you can't! No cars allowed on the pedestrian areas. We drove in using a GPS (Sat nav) which told us we had arrived at our destination, but the hotel was actually several streets away. Very confusing. Luckily, we were near a parking garage, Parking Grandos, where we left the car and walked to the hotel after asking many directions. Driving in Malaga is a bit of a nightmare. Many of the major road were under construction making it almost impossible to turn left. The inner city roads are very narrow making it difficult to drive the huge SUV the rental agency gave us. We did drive to Ronda (a must see town), but after that we left the car in the garage and used the efficient buses and trains to visit other cities. Malaga is a very interesting, friendly, and lively town and we enjoyed our week there despite the traffic problems we encountered.
"Great Location, Great Staff and Manager, They Made Out Holiday Great !!"
The hotel is located in the city centre right next to the main shopping area. There are lots of restaurants and bars within 1 minute walking distance. All this along with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff make this the only place we would consider staying on our future visits to this wonderful town of Malaga.
Best location for restaurants, shopping and attractions. Staff were friendly and helpful, You can walk all around the streets safely and have tapas and cerveza or wine for a low cost.... We will return to the Petit Palace.
