The Petit Palace Plaza Malaga hotel is situated round the corner from Calle Larios, one of the busiest shopping streets, next to Picasso Museum, the Cathedral of Malaga, Thyssen museum, Grifralfaro Castle, and the Citadel.
It is also 2 kilometres from the railway station and 10 kilometres from the airport.
This unique hotel is located centrally in the old town. Great service and good breakfast buffet.Comment of C. LW , Netherlands the 2014-11-13

"Superb Hotel in Central Malaga"
Booked this hotel to be close to Calle Larios abd saee the Christmas Lights. Wonderful Hotel, excellent srtaff, great breakfast and nvery comfortable rooms and so central. Would recommend to anuone looking for a central Malaga venue but use the train to get into Malaga as car parking is a nightmare.
This was our second stay at Petit Plaza and we were not disappointed. We had a fantastic view of the Cathedral and a very comfortable, quiet room on the 5th floor. The staff were friendly and professional. We will return!
"Don't borrow a bicycle."
Hotel is in a good location and is fine but but do not borrow the "free" bikes. We had one stolen locked to railings with the combination lock supplied and was charged 500 euros. We should have read the small print but the form was plonked on the desk and we were aksed to sign without reading it.
"Great Breakfast, properly located but old, overheated rooms with disastrous air-conditioning and very inflexible staff"
We stayed for in Palace Plaza for a total of three nights. The hotel is located in the city center and all major sites can easily accessed by foot. The breakfast selection is very broad and the quality of the food offered is excellent. From this standpoint, the hotel can wholeheartedly be recommended. But here come two negative aspects which are crucial for our bad valuation: All rooms (during our stay we had two different rooms) use an old-fashioned air conditioning system which does not allow any adjustments. Either it cools or warms the room automatically. You can only shut it down - it will turn on automatically from time to time - or adjust fan speed. As described herein, this issue is precisely described the same way in the hotel's provided information booklet that can be found in every room. The second negative aspect is with regard to an airline strike in Germany in Nov 2016: Unfortunately, we had to prolong our stay and tried to stay in the same room we were already staying in. This was possible at an expectedly higher rate (+26%). For this reason we booked a room online (at a booking portal) at the same rate we payed when we planned our trip ahead two weeks ago. We asked twice if this was a problem and if we could stay in the sam room. We asked again after a desk clerk confirmed the new online booking. Now here comes the surprise: the next morning we were told that we could only stay in the same room at a higher rate ( now "only" +22%) or move to another cheaper room. Now this whole picture really gives you the impression of an unprofessional arbitrariness in managing and pricing policy.
"Great Location, Nice hotel, Good service"
This was a comfortable stay in a great location. Clean room and on our first stay we had a view of the Cathedral. The staff were useful and when I didn't have an adapter they provided one for me to charge my phone. Would recommend.
