The Petit Palace Posada del Peine is a boutique hotel located in Madrid’s historic center near the entrance to Plaza Mayor and the popular Puerta del Sol Hotel. The city’s main monuments, capital as well as Gran Vía are just a stroll away, as well as the Paseo del Arte, an area combining three of the world's most important art galleries: the Prado, the Thyssen Bornemisza Museum and the national Museum of Modern Art Center Reina Sofia.

"Very good location with unusual floor plan "
Our family of three spent the last night of our European holiday at this little hotel. It was in fact a small hotel with fairly helpful front desk attendants. You are within an easy walk of the downtown sites. Which was fantastic. The room was was two rooms sort of as it was made up of a main room with bunk beds and an alcove with a la large bed. My daughter enjoyed having a "room to her self". Her area was fairly loud with sound from the street. It was like the party was inside. The smaller "room" was much quieter as it was on an interior wall. I would recommend the hotel to sound sleepers only. I give one star for location, one for cleanliness, one for a unique layout.
"Very pleasant place, very nice people, just in the right area"
I spent 3 nights at the Petite Palace Posada del Peine just off the Plaza Mayor and within a few blocks of the Puerta Sol. If you like staying in the enter of things and pretty much in the older part of Madrid, this cannot be beat. The rooms were really large (I had one with 3 large windows and the point of the building (more later), the bathroom was great (a glass walled structure that was very functional) and the WIFI worked great. Breakfast was probably one step up with daily specials. There are bicycles available to take out as if you were not going to walk enough! One of the great parts was the very large room. One of the parts to be aware of, is that this is a pedestrian area and people walk around and TALK LOUD late into the evening. (They are loud speakers to start with, but put them on a cell phone! LOL) So if you want perfect peace, let them know, though with the windows closed and the more than adequate AC going, it was not bad at all. Just don't plan to sleep with the windows open. The true test of facility is the staff. Here the staff was great! I watched them handle some very irate Brits (that I didn't think had anything to complain about!) with supreme diplomacy and aplume. The guest left with a smile. I did, too - hats off to Esther among others! Would I stay here again' Yes, especially for the price and the room and the neighborhood - a GREAT place to get lost!
"A great experience, friendly hotel"
We was few weeks ago, and was a great weekend. The hotel is comfortable, and the best place into of center of Madrid. Friendly staff, and very cleaning room. The breakfast was good, with different variety of food.
"Quiet yet fun location"
Darling hotel in a ver fun location. Even though our room faced the front, it was surprisingly quiet. Very clean room. Front desk staff exceptionally friendly & helpful. They had complimentary bicycles & iPads, though we did not use those.mthey had a high tech shower, though we could never figure out how to use it so used the alternate traditional one instead. Very nice service.
"Great location by fabulous tapas bar, shops & walks"
The hotel looks very nice but room very small & have a wall glass partition for the bathroom. It looks trendy but not practical as light from the bathroom shows in the bedroom & disturbs whoever is sleeping . Staff were nice & friendly, nice toiletries too . Would stay there again.
