"Comfy hotel in good location"
Stayed in a family room with two bunk beds and two single beds, room smallish but beds very comfortable, shower room very good but perhaps a lock on the shower room door would be advisable when it is a family room. Good sized television in the room. A couple of comfortable chairs would be an added plus. Staff were very friendly and helpful a good bonus for the hotel. Hotel was very clean. Location of hotel excellent walking distance to shops, cafes and bars and also plenty of Metro stations in easy walking distance. Overall a good base when visiting Madrid for a short break
"Fantastic little hotel"
The location is perfect. You are in the middle of everything. Staff is fantastic and very friendly. The rooms are on the small side but who visits Madrit to sit in the room. I am a GM of a hotel in UK and i highly recommend this place to anyone visiting this lovely city.
"Short city break."
Clean efficient city centre hotel. Modern style all grey and chrome with huge TVs in room and excellent shower room. No complaints at all about room or bed (comfortable) but the hotel fronts on to a busy street with a bus stop directly outside and traffic noise including periodic carousing (plus cacophanous bin emptying at 3am) seems to go on all night and which the double gazing does not effectively exclude. A room at the back might be preferable. Plenty nearby cafes for breakfast and immediate proximity to the most efficient metro system from airport although Madrid centre is all easily walkable. Incidentally, anyone visiting in December is advised to avoid the 6th national holiday (Día de la Constitución) when much is closed and in the evening it seems like most of the population of Spain takes to the streets.
"My visit from 3 to 6 December 2016"
This is the second time I have stayed there, and again it was very enjoyable. Staff recognized me even though it was a year ago since my last stay, which surprised me. The room and bathroom were spacious and the room was equipped with a brand new TV. I especially appreciated the little details. The receptionist Teresa organised a plate of fruit on my first return to my room as she knew I had been queuing outside for ours for the concert of Alejandro Sanz. Additionally, on the day of the concert, I found a lovely card with a picture of Alejandro Sanz wishing me a lovely concert. All these things were spontaneous and added to my enjoyment of the trip. I really appreciated it and will definitely stay there again!
If you want reasonable, comfy, and clean, PPSB fits the bill. Half a block from the Metro station, an easy walk to Plaza Mayor, the Prado, and other spots. Lot's of very good restaurants in the neighborhood-not your ordinary tourist spots so the food has to be good. Helpful and friendly staff
