"Not a 5 star! "
Stayed here two nights for a business trip and while booking it was touted as a 5 star equivalent which it certainly wasn't. An average hotel overall with clean rooms and good central location. Service could have been better and it started with giving me a wrong room but as it turned out it was also an executive room which I had booked. Nothing spectacular about the room and the bathroom was quite small and cramped for an executive room. Room was fired with electric blinds which was nice. The hotel has a good breakfast area in the basement and serves reasonable variety of cold and warm food. Rooms did not provide an iron or ironing board and apparently they is not allowed in the room by Italian law due to safety reasons (that's what I was told). But then you would expect to have laundry services available throughout. Sadly not and I could not have my suit ironed in the evening after 5 pm. The earliest the shirt and suit could be ironed was at 8.30 in the morning. Quite inconvenient and annoying specially as I had an early start. Overall and average experience.
"Ah such a disappointment"
Not a bad place per se if you discard the smell of dead rats (or something like that) in the elevator. Rooms are clean and comfortable and you have fun hearing people in the rooms around you as if there are no walls but normally everyone around got quiet and we were able to get some sleep. Lovely interior in the state room, restaurant and bar on the first floor - too bad it has very short working hours and we did not get a chance to enjoy. The breakfast included was real disappointment as the selection and quality was below even those we have seen traveling to third world countries. When you are in this hotel be careful of "hidden" fees for services as some front desk people do not speak english and charges appear later as "miscommunication". Same goes for the included breakfast - make sure you know exactly what is included or be prepared to have some bills (not that large but just annoying) at the end of our stay. Overall it is relatively inexpensive place in a good location and close walking distance to the center (or metro) - they construct a new red line that will stop almost in front of the hotel so do not mind some temporary contraction around which did not bother us at all. So if you have few extra bucks pick something else, if you are on the budget - not a bad choice.
"Hidden surprise in Milan"
Unassuming from the outside, Hotel Pierre, proved to be a surprise on the inside. Although on the small side, the room was very richly decorated. However, the room was on the last floor and could only be accessed on a steep staircase with no elevator from the previous floor.
"Not a five star hotel standard "
The location is great, even if the metropolitan works make the street a bit messy . They have a smell problem, in the elevators and the bathroom, and the service in the breakfast room is very bad, although the food is ok. All the rest is quite correct, the bed is great and the linens are also very nice
"Lovely Hotel Pierre"
This hotel is extremely well-appointed with a beautiful reception and lounge area, decorated with some striking art-works and a grand piano. Our room was equally well-appointed, handsomely decorated and with all the comforts. Lights, blinds all operated from a bedside console - just in case you're looking for them! Hotel Pierre is an easy 10 minute walk along the main shopping road, to Il Duomo and within easy walking distance to other main sites in Milan. The breakfast buffet was lovely and served in a very pretty dining room. Hotel staff were helpful, friendly and able to offer good advice. I would definitely stay again.
