"First class in every way"
The overriding memory of this hotel is the excellence of its staff - efficient, accommodating and very helpful. Situated on the Lake shore, the entrance to the Hotel is at the side. Although I was disappointed not to get a view of the Lake, the room was excellent - extremely spacious, beautifully clean, large balcony (although not charming or romantic, see photo!) with street aspect , separate wc/washroom. The Glow Bar was open until 1am, and courteous staff moved me and my guests to another area of the hotel after close so that we could continue our conversation. Although I didn't dine there, the restaurants looked excellent, a choice of Lebanese, classic contemporary, and French-inspired Japanese. There is a spa, heated outdoor pool (open until end September) with panoramic view, and a 24-hour fitness centre. Yes, the hotel is pricey, but so are many things in Geneva, so no surprise there. Recommended.
"Not worth the price"
I stayed here for work and whilst the hotel is nice I do not believe it is worth the price tag. The room was on the small side and a bit dated. Bed, however, is comfy. Bathroom is also a bit dated. hair drier is very low quality and old for such an expensive hotel. Gym is ridiculously small. Service, however was always very good and very friendly.
"Very nice hotel with just a few glitches"
I was in Geneva for work, so didn't spend a ton of time at the hotel, but when I was there the staff were extraordinarily professional and friendly. Really really great. My room was small-ish but not terrible for Europe, and the housekeeping was great. My complaints/comments are only minor. The gym is very small (two treadmills, one elliptical, one bike, and some weights), and was full both mornings I was there around 7am. The third time I went around 8:30am it was empty, so timing matters, but I think the hotel could use a bigger gym. Also, ladies bring your own hairdryer if you want. The one provided is quite annoying in that you have the hold the button down the entire time you are using it. For such a nice hotel, this was disappointing. But other amenities were perfect - power adapter and bottle opener in the room, free bottled water on the night stands every day, perfect black-out curtains. Overall it was a great stay.
"Top of the world"
This is an amazing hotel right by the side of the lake. So much attention to detail and the guest is really appreciated. we felt right at home during our stay and no wishes left unanswered. We will be back for sure.
I arrived at the hotel in the early morning but my room was ready. The check in staff are all excellent and one of them kindly showed me to the room. I was lucky, a lake view on the fifth floor. Stunning. The chap who accompanied me seemed as pleased as I was with the view. It was a large room, very well appointed with nothing left to chance - clothes brushes, iron and board, shoe shine - Hermes toiletries, loads of hangers, two lavatories and lots of storage. I never did quite work out the lighting but the air con/heating was effective, the bed very comfortable and it was so lovely it was hard to leave. The hotel is efficient, very clean, has the most beautiful flower displays and the staff charming and very helpful. Pascal, the concierge deserves a special mention as he recommended hotels that suited us brilliantly. They weren't particularly expensive, not touristy and the food was fabulous. The food at the hotel is of a high quality too, we enjoyed breakfast and one lunch at the hotel's Arabesque restaurant. I would love to stay here again. Thank you.
