"Hotel Q good hotel not to expensive"
Good hotel, central location close to "Zoo" metro stop and also stop for the airport train. Also near a lot of restaurants, bars, clubs and clothes shops. Bombed out Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church is within walking distance as well.
"Good Location, Good Rooms, Good Breakfast"
Hotel is in a good location for travel around Berlin, The rooms are comfortable and are of a reasonable size. The only issue is that some of the rooms are of a very modern design and have some features that you may or may not appreciate. The rooms are open plan the bathroom being integtaed with the bedroom(Not the Toilet!!!!). In some cases the beds are of a unique design but very comfortable. Breakfast is litteraly anything you wish for, your eggs and bacon is cooked fresh for you, not standing in a heated serving dish as sometimes it is in some Hotels. Were here for 6 days, would come come again but would ask for a room with less design features111
The design of the rooms - especially the ones with a bath tub, is interesting, however not very practical. The tub takes up a lot of space and is right next to the bed. The restaurant and bar is quite good - again very nice design. The staff is very kind and helpfull, and made the stay very pleasant. The location is excellent next to Ku'dam.
"Fine hotel in a great location"
Hotel is excellently located near transportation and attractions. A block from the Kdam, and in the opposite direction, Savigny Platz. We were able to walk to many restaurants and attractions. The room, while comfortable, was a bit strange with cosmetic mirror and several other amenities were too high and one side of the bed was blocked on one side by the counter with the sink. The front desk staff were pleasant and helpful.
"Funky hotel in an ideal location."
I spent 4 nights at Q for my wifes 30th and it didn't disappoint. Directions from Tegal airport: X9 bus to Zoologischer Garten then 1 stop on the S-bahn to Savignyplatz. It's a 5min stroll from there, very easy to reach. There is also a U-bahn round the corner on the K'damm but we didn't use that route. The hotel screams cool and modern with the white and red backdrops. Our room, the studio, was huge! On the 7th floor overlooking the rooftops. His and her sinks, the bathtub in the room was fab and great to relax in after a days walking. Great for couples too! Shower was massive also. My wife thought it was one of the best rooms we've stayed in. The Fox bar is very funky. We eat there our first night and the thai food was fantastic for the price! As it's hotel guests only, it wasn't so busy and lacked some atmosphere but it was no biggie. Staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions asked. Also very handy that you can buy your travel day tickets to get around from reception :) Lots of fantastic restaurants and bars nearby so we chose not to eat breakfast in the hotel but it did look very nice. Spa area on the lowest floor is great. This is a NUDE area but don't worry. Just embrace it, it's fun! There are towels, robes etc provided so no need to go in your clothes and get changed once there. you can wear your robe from your room and get the lift straight down. We never got told this and found out for ourselves. The room aircon/heating was a bit strange. As it was winter it automatically heats the room but no way of cooling it down. This resulted in the room becoming very hot, having to turn it off and open the windows and it was quite noisy on the street at night due to parties/clubs/drunk people etc. This was a bit annoying but our only problem whilst staying at hotel Q. Maybe such a funky, modern hotel could upgrade their AC' If you are looking for a cool hotel with a twist and close to the action book Q, you'll love it! :)
