Highly recommend. The breakfast is fantastic, the rooms nice and the staff friendly. The breakfast is a buffet with loads of choice of cold dishes and a few hot dishes. It is well placed for visiting the sights. - very near the ferry to Vasa Museum and a short walk from Gamlastan.
I came to Stockholm with work, on a pre-Christmas jolly, and to meet business connections. Lovely hotel, very friendly helpful staff. I had a single room & was expecting it to be a bit poky, but it was lovely, comfortable and not at all cramped. I was impressed that the hairdryer was a real dryer, not a hideous tubey thing in the bathroom. Mini bar, kettle with range of drinks sachets (but no English breakfast tea), television that got more than BBC Worldwide, comfy armchair. All very clean and welcoming. The only criticism (mentioned by others) - slight smell of drains in the bathroom, but not too bad. The man at reception on arrival was lovely (- very apologetic that he couldn't upgrade me), very helpful with local information. Breakfast was very good, with a range of hot & cold dishes, lovely fresh bread & pastries. There was a little noise from the street late at night, but nothing I couldn't cope with, and it didn't go on too late. First trip to Stockholm, hoping to come back & see a bit more, and would definitely stay here again
Ideally placed to get to & explore all the areas of Stockholm. Smart bedroom with very comfy beds, but unfortunately the bathrooms have not been refurbed to the same high standard. Breakfast was good, however could be improved with a better hot option - walnut bread was divine. I would recommend for a weekend break
"Hotel Riddargatan, Östermalm, Stockholm"
I stayed at Hotel Riddargatan, Östermalm, Stockholm 10.-11.11 at single room. Hotel and rooms should be renovated. Location, customer service and breakfast was good. Bathroom was smelling. Bed wasn't enough good, mattress too soft.
Stayed for 3 nights. The location is perfect. The staff in the reception, Dag, Alexandra, Emma and a few others, were always helpful and polite giving 100%. Breakfast, there was something for everybody. Special thanks to the lady who bakes the delicious banana / coconut cake and to Alexander and the others who made sure everything was working. The rooms (a superior double) could do with some more light on the desk making it easier to write and apply make-up. Lovely lemon-scented soaps, shampoo and lotion. Great beds. The only negative comment would be that the glass-door between bedroom and bathroom does not give much privacy.
