"Perfect 5 star."
Caught a last-minute flight and received full luxury treatment from the warm and affable staff during our short 1-night stay from our first arrival through to the all-too-soon departure one day later. The property is gorgeous with sweeping views of the sea from the lobby as well as from the pool with more than 180 degree views. The staff were professional yet warm and outstanding with a few requests we had. We will actively look for the chance to return. Our only idea to contribute would be to offer a boutique breakfast option at the cafe by the pool with organic quality and where possible local items. The servers kept a tidy and proper breakfast area which did feature plenty of excellent fresh-fruit, but we would enjoy a quieter "boutique" breakfast setting as an additional option to the big buffet which was not distinctive compared to other big hotels.
"A Mallorcan hotel to return to !"
We have just returned from a week at this superb hotel. Room 836 has wonderful sea views, and is very quiet. The buffet meals were first class with a wide ranging choice. The hotel is kept so clean, with excellent maid service. All the staff are friendly, and never pass one without a friendly 'hola'. Drinks in the bar are a little pricey, but hotels of this standard must be expensive to upkeep. We will return.
When you go to a corporate offsite you often worry that in the battle between HR and Finance it is the bean-counters who won out, and that after 3 nights in a noisy shed you will go back to work feeling in need of a holiday. Which fortunately was not the case here. The Riu Palace is not the Ritz but nor does it claim to be. The location is good (though not busy), the ambiance friendly, and everything works just fine. Recommended.
"Nice stay, sunbed reserving a nightmare!"
Bonanza Palace emailed me after our stay for feedback which they implied they would respond to. Well 3 months have past and not even an acknowledgement of my reply. So that is disappointing but overall was a nice stay. Copy follows: Dear Sirs Thank you for your email in regard to my recent stay at your hotel. And your request for feedback. Further to your enquiry to our stay, 1) The checking in service was extremely good and professional, staff were very polite. We had booked half board, the snack left in your buffet restaurant was limited but was acceptable. It was disappointing that I had requested a room on a high floor on my booking directly to you only to be given a 2nd floor room. 2) The room was clean and of a reasonable size. Good air conditioning. No bath ' No tea/coffee kettle ' A 4* hotel that doesn't provide tea/coffee making facilities in your room or CHARGE for use of safe' 3) The noise from entertainment at night was too loud, I can honestly say this did ruin my stay. It did not need to be that loud nor did your entertainment staff need to continue to shout at the audience to get them more involved. I should be able to go on holiday and go to sleep at 10pm if I wish. 4) Reserving sunbeds with towels - worst ever encountered. Guests were out placing them before 6am. 6) Evening buffet average, and very limited compared to breakfast. 7) Kristal restaurant, staff good, limited menu, food of very good standard. One evening your lady manager came in and acknowledged all other tables besides ours - rude. You state this restaurant is only for Adults but we saw children as young as about 5 in there' 8) Reception staff very good and helpful. 9) Did not appreciate being charged for someone else's Bar Bill, when queried a receipt was produced from the bar which had been stapled behind my signed one. My final account was adjusted but no apology was given. 10) It is nice that you make a point of management introducing themselves and welcoming to your hotel but this should not be done via a note under your room door asking you to come to reception without making it clear for what reason. Guests first thought is that there is a problem, causing un-necessary concern and worry. Mr Tolo Mora was very welcoming, he did say that the other manager (woman) would introduce herself also to us, but she didn't. I assume she was the rude lady in the Kristal restaurant. Internet very good.
"Nice hotel in illetas"
We stayed in Riu palace bonanza for a week in oktober. We really enjoyed the large pool and sunbeds. Rooms a bit small, ok gym, lunch a bit expensive, great location 10 min by taxi to Palma and 10 min taxi to Puerto Portals- both dinner favourites. We had a nice stay!
