nice hotel .bit out the way, next to museum . local area small shops near by. Sbopping mall near by and train station . The team is also right outside . the room was a nice room, although was just cleaned and smelled of dirty mop as soon as we entered. toilet button was broken and hanging off wall ,but fixed as soon as reported. We had been in the room 10 mins by this time. There should be someone checking the rooms to see if there suitable for the next person arriving. the room was large and nice/ iron/hairdryer /fridge/microwave tv available. Shower small and not very powerful has dip in the bath so be careful when standing in shower myself and husband slipped. The bad bit of the bathroom you can see clearly into the bedroom. Yes huge glass window no privacy has a blind to pull DOWN, but you can see right through if your taking a shower or on the toilet PUT frosted glass /sticker or something on it not nice watching hubby taking his morning throne. breakfasts make the hotel, there nice . THE POOL was cold as it's open air , rather small compared to the pictures. staff were OK, very busy hotel business people everywhere meetings being held etc. we enjoyed sitting outside at the bar ground floor. They do however keep your bags for you if ypu have latwr dlight and ypu can still use the amenities . over all ok
"If you want a great stay in Barcelona, stay here !!!"
Still have a couple of nights left here but had to write a review already. After coming to Barcelona 2-3 times a year for the last ten years and staying in places which could be described as ranging from budget to exclusive this is the best hotel we have experienced. The perfect balance of price versus quality we have found, you can find cheaper but the experience is well worth the money. The location is great, away from the tourist hordes but totally connected by both public transportation and taxi (Tip: install the Cabify application before you arrive). The staff do absolutely everything you would expect in a five star hotel. Nothing is too much effort. Breakfasts are also five star. We would recommend getting the executive package which includes access to the 15th floor lounge and also to the spa. Both are stunning, complimentary quality beverages in the lounge with great views of the sea, in the spa a huge. jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. After this week this will be our go to place to stay in Barca.
"Worth a visit "
My Wife and I stayed in this very modern hotel for four nights in April 17. On reading previous reviews we pre booked four breakfasts and weren't disappointed, very good selection for breakfast which set-us-up for the busy day sight-seeing . Despite it being to the east of the City Centre, the City Centre and all the attractions/hot spots were within east reach of the excellent public transport system the City offers, beit tram, bus or metro which are all available just outside the front door. As a tourist / sightsee'er the hotel meet all our needs. Very large shopping mall just across the road with a large variety of shops which can come in handy. Some previous reviewers go on about the building site and empty half complete building beside the hotel, but as I've stated, after a big breakfast we were out and about all day that these never bothered us. Worth a Visit
"Excellent business hotel"
Clean, modern, comfortable. Nice business hotel that offers everything you might be looking for. A little out of the center to the north but right next to the CCIB. Easy public transport nearby. Very good breakfast. Tip: drag yourself out of bed early morning and go walking or running on the beach while the sun is rising - great experience!
"Adequate business accomodation style hotel."
Although I would have no problem staying here on a business trip to Barcelona, as vacation destination style hotel it was not that great a place for exploring Barcelona as a tourist. Although the Metro is very close. Travel on two separate lines is required to reach the main downtown area with a fair amount of walking in underground tunnels required to make the connections. We also found the room lighting system very confusing and never really did get it figured out. For anybody with mobility issues, the lack of handrails in the toilet area is very frustrating and the floors of the shower area are very slippery when wet assuming you actually figure out how to get the dual shower head system to actually deliver the water flow and temperature that you actually want. And finally due to their solid nature the doors on the surrounding rooms, they are constantly banging shut at all hours of the day and night. In future I will look for more centrally located accoodation when vacationing in Barcelona.
