"The bus station has moved!"
Great base around a 15 minute walk to the centre of town along either the river or through pleasant streets of the new town, which means you get the chance to stumble across some hidden gems (bars and shops). It is true that the coach station used to be right next to the hotel but it has moved about 2 bridges down the river (10min walk). We stayed on the 9th floor with good views/ the rooms are very quiet as there is an internal door after the bathroom into the bedroom which blocks out hotel noise. Rooms have excellent lighting, very comfortable beds, powerful showers, hairdryer, safe and excellent toiletries including shaving and dental kits. There were free robes, slippers and chocolates. The breakfast was excellent and catered for all tastes and dietary needs including gluten free. The coffee was strong and served with hot milk. The food quality was of the highest standard and everything was replenished regularly. The sacha torte was the best I've ever tasted!! This was a superb base in which to explore this rather fabulous city, highly recommended.
"Holiday in Spain"
Stayed here for three nights a few weeks ago, found the staff friends & welcoming, we had breakfast included & found it to be a good spread. The room was fine. The location was good, a walk into town can be made either by wandering along the river side or down other streets, either way is fine, we enjoyed both. I'd stay there again without hesitation. V
Not a bad hotel about a mile away. Breakfast 18euro each a bit to dear to have every day better of spending your money in town .Rooms could do with coffee maker I think that why its 18 euro breakfast. would stay here again .and the bar was not that dear .
" Contemporary "
Contemporary and clean. We liked location- walking distance to shops. A bit of a walk, but we enjoyed the scenery. Restaurant is excellent in hotel. Friendly associates. Tapas bar very nice. Safe in room to secure valuables. We had a park view . Lovely
"Comfortable hotel but away from the action"
My husband and I stayed at Silken Amara Plaza for 3 nights for our honeymoon. The staff were polite and spoke English well. Our room was a decent size, very clean, and the bed extremely comfortable. The only issue with it was that we requested a double bed but it was two single beds pushed together. The wifi was slow and didn't work well for uploading photos. Hopefully the hotel will work to improve it in future as it was one of the worst wifi connections we had in our 4 weeks traveling Europe. The air conditioning wasn't working well either, I have read in other reviews it is centrally controlled so that's why you can't change the temperature yourself. It got so stuffy in the room at night we had to open the windows which was a bit noisy as we were located on the first floor. The breakfast was reasonable and included a hot buffet, however very expensive - 18 Euros per person! Save your money and eat at a cafe nearby. The location of the hotel isn't bad, if you don't mind a bit of a walk into the beach and old town where all the good tapas restaurants are (about 15-20 minutes). Overall we had a pleasant stay, however there is definitely some room for improvement.
