"Great location in Burgos"
Our room was clean and modern. The bathroom is somewhat difficult to use, especially the shower. The door doesn't seal well, so the floor was quite wet at the end of a very fast shower. Plenty of storage though in the bathroom. We were on the street side so it was somewhat noisy during the day, but a uieted down after 9pm. The parking garage is a little scary getting into, but we liked the fact that our car was out of the elements and safe.
The hotel is centrally located with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. The town has some good shops and if you want a walk, there are parks and a pretty riverside walk. Travelling as a member of a coach party was a disadvantage as far as the hotel was concerned. The bedroom was dismal, had a big stain on the carpet and overlooked the lift. Our party was allocated a separate room for breakfast with different food to that served in the main restaurant. On our last morning the toaster was missing but a few slices of bread had been pre-toasted and laid cold on the buffet. When requested, the toaster was returned from the room down the hall! Also when requested, staff did provide sachets of honey but I wouldn't normally expect to have to ask for these items in a four star hotel.
"Good hotel however nothing to make it outstanding."
This hotel was very convenient for the town which seemed to be very much valued by the local community.Car parking at the hotel is incredibly tight - we have a small family car [Hyundai i20] and it was incredibly tight trying to park. We were advised we had been upgraded to a 'superior room'. To be honest if this was a superior room I dread to think what the standard room was like. The accommodation was fine just not including those things one would expect to be standard in a 4* hotel. Would probably stay here again, if I could not find something else at a reasonable price. The night we arrived there was a medieval fair going on and the following morning what seemed to be a bake-in for parents and children. It really did seem to be a town which has lots going on and endeavours to be be inclusive of its people. So, would definitely recommend spending at least a few days in this lovely town.
"Good value if a little depressing"
If driving, entrance to their underground car park is just before the lay-by 20 metres before the traffic lights. Would be fun to park here in a big car ;-). Staff ok but going through the motions. Room ok, clean etc. but dark with brown furniture, carpets etc. even the mural was brown. View from the window of small atrium where we could watch the lift going up and down. Mostly business clientele, the hotel was a little noisy in the morning as people got up for work/meetings etc. It was cheap though.
Stayed here for two nights this month and other than the reasonably good location, there's not much that made it worth staying at. The desk staff appeared indifferent at best and the beds were hard. First hotel we've ever stayed at where there wasn't even Kleenex in the bathroom .
