Every member of staff were exceptionally helpful and went out of their way for us at every opportunity. Our room was incredible - I could not fault it! It is fantastic that the rooms are cleaned daily. We stayed in room 724, and the design and lay out of the room were like no other we have stayed in. The views were amazing too! We dined in the hotel restaurant on one evening of our stay. We were very appreciative that the waiters could squeeze us in at the last minute, because it was very busy! Regardless, we still received brilliant service. The only thing we could find fault with, from our whole experience, was the lack of diversity on the menu, and the food we ordered was okay, but it kind of let the 5* hotel down. We also felt like the diners who has booked we're waited on quicker and more efficiently than ourselves; for example, we had to wait a long time for our drinks to be refilled. However, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would recommend it to anyone who wanted to visit Madrid and would not he storage to come back (we would just eat out!) thank you for a lovely stay!Comment of N. Great hotel, amazing rooms, delicious buffet breakfast, close to the airport and within very easy access to main attractions in Madrid. The bus/ metro station is just 4 minutes walking distance and a couple of stops to Sol/ Plaza Mayor. It has a pool and a well equipped gym for a quick workout while on vacation. Overall a wonderful stay at this hotel and would totally recommend.
"Very odd but in a good way "
When you first walk through a single automatic door you think you are in the wrong part but you then end up in reception which the staff are brilliant and friendly and speak perfect English better than me. My room was on the 3rd floor when you get into the red lighted lift it feels rather strange but then light appears and you are in an outside light and get great views. The door opened to a very dark foyer all black and artistic got to my room and it was fantastic electric blinds and curtains a massive bed which was extremely comfortable and I slept really well. The bathroom didn't have a bath but the shower was fantastic and made up for it. My floor was a little noisy in the corridor but didn't bother me at all. Overall I would stay there again but not for a holiday as you seemed to be on the outskirts of the city but worth a stop over
"Dangerous bath and terrible free airport shuttle instructions"
Although the bath was the biggest and deepest I've even seen, it was difficult to get in and out and very slippy. No comfortable areas to sit in the hotel.free airport shuttle was confusing, in the email it's instructs you to go outside arrivals to bus parking area - for hotels. The is a bus parking area outside on the left but the shuttle pick up is on the right. We waited half an hour in the wrong location, simply adding turn right as you leave arrivals to the email instructions would resolve this. This is for terminal 1 , I don't know the set up in the other terminals.
Never felt so familiar in a 5 stars hotel! The staff is lovely, friendly and helpful without stiffness. The timeless elegant design of the Silken Hotels is mixed with offbeat ideas of different famous architectures.
This was our second visit to your marvellous unique hotel. The first time we stayed on the 9th floor which was a bit basic. This time we stayed on the 8th floor and it was wonderful. Looking forward to coming back.
