"Ideal for a citytrp"
Using booking.com, we were able to get a nice offseason deal. Not perfect, but still a great value hotel with kind staff. We really liked the hotel restaurant too. Nice 3 course menu with plenty of choice. Recommended.
"Clean and spacious"
Centrally located with car parking facility. Good clean room and bathrooms, much needed after a long drive from Barcelona. We made a one-night stop over on our way to Cordoba and glad to have stopped at this hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Most knew English which was helpful. I needed some printouts which was quite a complicated task as it was a long excel sheet. The hotel staff at the reception allowed me to use their computer to take the printout as the hotel did not have a business centre. Check out and check in was quite smooth and quick. The breakfast was a good spread - something we needed for a long drive to Cordoba. The hotel was centrally located and we walked around the evening to take in the fresh air of Valencia - unfortunately as it was raining, we were unable to do so much sightseeing.
"Perfect Hotel for a visit to Valencia"
With parking beneath the Hotel we felt safe in abandoning the car and using the Travel cards to use the metro and the buses. The Hotel rooms were clean and the beds VERY comfortable with additional blankets if required. Breakfast was very good either Continental or full cooked. The cooked food unfortunately was not hot but a microwave oven provided additional heating if required. We always judge a hotel by the quality of the coffee!! ~~ the Silken coffee was very good. Comfy chairs in the room were very good to relax in after a day of walking around the city tourist attractions.
"good place if you come by car"
chose this hotel for price and location. Very easy to access by car and has own parking. The room was large and comfortable, bath in bathroom. Both city centre and centre of arts and sciences about 15 mins walk away
"Convenient and affordable hotel with underground parking"
We have opted for the Hotel Silken Puerta de Valencia chosen for its competitive price, its central location and the availability of a parking garage. Been classified as 4-star hotel seems to me somehow exaggerated, also, that due to the fact that there is was no operating restaurant but only a coffee shop. The hotel has no exercise room. It is a modern city hotel with 150 rooms. The rooms are functionally furnished with a comfortable double bed, two armchairs and a desk. The bathroom is bright, but when looking at bit closer only superficially clean. Our room on the 2nd floor was not ideal due to the street noise. The windows are not sound proof. The free WiFi is patchy and very slow. For a 4-star property, I normally expect a complimentary bottle of mineral water or a kettle for making tea and coffee. The breakfast is charged € 12.50 but not worth the price. A coffee shop is located next to the reception. A small restaurant (not belonging to the hotel), which has among other things paella on the menu is right next door. We were directed by the reception employee to a sleeker restaurant with the name Gran Azur, where we unfortunately we found the food lousy and overpriced. The garage is accessible and through a side alley. The parking fee is € 13.- for 24 hours. The location is central and the old town can be reached by direct bus. It is not the fault of the hotel, but unfortunately, the neighborhood is not the best. We found dubious people and junkies are lingering around when returning from dinner at night. The sidewalks are dirty and soiled with trash and dog excrement. A small supermarket is located just opposite the hotel.
