"Exceptional European service"
Exceptional European service. Rooms are modern, great views and large. Service was outstanding. Loved the views (did I say I loved the views') The first floor modern French restaurant is a great value for their 3 course meal for 39.99. In the summer you can also done al fresco.
There are a lot of options in downtown Chicago and this is one of the best. The staff are friendly and very helpful all the way from the curb to the room. The concierge was always available he was able to help me find a cigar lounge and of course able to get dinner reservations at a "over booked" restaurant.
"Nice and comfortable hotel"
This hotel is very charming and cosy. The room is very comfortable and big as well but very noisy in the morning when the staff starts working particularly when you have a room right next to the staff office, mine was room 1417. The breakfast is ok but nothing exceptional no buffet just "à la carte" and the service is very slow but the staff are polite. The fitness center on the 2nd floor is really good.
"Great, as usual for Sofitels"
I may be biased because I love the Sofitel brand of hotels. This hotel was also excellent. Our room was very nice and comfortable, great view, very quiet, great climate control. Good location. Concierge was so nice and helpful, couldn't have been better. Minor quibble would be that housekeeping kept strange hours. It seemed they would make rooms either very early or very late. So a couple times we were out all day, came back, and the room wasn't made yet. Not because they forgot, but because they hadn't done it yet.
"Gorgeous Hotel, Great Location"
Stayed here with several friends for a birthday celebration. Upon entering the hotel, we were greeted by Aud Lin (sorry if I've misspelled her name) and she immediately made us feel right at home. The hotel had overbooked and did not have a double room available, but she quickly upgraded my friends to a large suite with spectacular views. The hotel itself had a beautiful and comfortable outdoor leisure space where we were able to simply sit and chat while waiting for our Uber rides. The only negative was that we had all booked our rooms with the breakfast at the hotel for each morning of our stay. We were disappointed to discover that if you chose this option, you are given a secondary menu with very limited offerings. We used the breakfast vouchers our first morning, but refused to use them on subsequent mornings because of the limited menu. I reviewed the online offering for the included breakfast and nowhere did it mention that you're given a menu separate from what you would normally receive if you hadn't included the breakfast package. When brought to the hotel's attention, they did refund that portion of unused breakfast vouchers on our bill which is why I still have this hotel 5 stars
