"Homely and clean, close to everything"
We warmly recommend this hotel appartment where we stayed 4 nights in February 2017 - everything was as we hoped: Clean, spacious, quiet, close to everything etc. The staff is very friendly too. Every evening a nice woman shows up to ask if the cleaning is allright or we need anything. Perfect place to stay!!!
"Truthful London "
Booked a 5 night stay occupying 2 apartments at the splendom suites, (194 Valencia). Location is good, as the property is located about 15 minutes walk from the main area (la Rambla) and other main streets with an abundance of bars, restaurants and shops. However there is also a good variety of restaurants and bars around the apartments all within easy reach. Staff were very helpful throughout. Polite and courteous and offered advice when needed. Apartments are clean and furnished to a good standard with large beds, TV's, fridge, washing machine, coffee machine etc, etc, including balconies. Really, we were not short of anything, though we spent most of our time out. Only down side is as some other guests have indicated, you can hear the rumbling sound of music from a nearby bar when open. We were on the 2nd floor so would not suggest occupying any apartment below that. There are plenty of things to do in Barcelona, and overall as long as the weather holds out, an enjoyable time can be had. Would Recommend apartments for a family break easily accommodating 2 adults , 2 children.
"New Year holiday in Barcelona"
Splendom Suites are great ! Easy to stay in, very clean, helpful and friendly staff. I have stayed with my husband from Dec 29 2016 till 5 Jan 2017 - one of the best stays ever. Great location, easy to get there. There was a nice "welcome pack" waiting for us, bottle of Cava for the New Year and small chocolates every evening for good night - sounds familiar ' yes, for 6* hotel where the Cava would be rather charged. I absolutely recommend.
"Great suites, brilliant location"
We had a lovely weeks stay at Splendom suits through Christmas and new years. Everything in our apartment was perfect staff at reception were very friendly and the cleaning staff were too. We booked a 2 bed apart for 5 of us, the double room was perfect in size, the second room was very small but my 2 teenage girls managed fine. My 13 yr old son slept on the fold out sofa which was very comfortable. only thing is we can hear a lot of noise at night when your trying to sleep. I think the apartment above us had small children that would wake up early and run around and we could hear every step and jump. They also have 3 baloneys, which was nice. It was brilliant having a kitchen (we normally book hotels) it has great facilities an oven , hob, microwave, ironing board and iron and even a washing machine which means you can pack light from home and do the laundry every day with no problem drying, as they have a pull out washing line in the master room and they have heating too, so even in December the clothes were dry in no time ( only problem is when you have the heating on with a few other appliances the eclectic switch would trip. The first day we had to call them up twice to unlock the cupboard and flick the switch up, luckily my husband being an engineer convinced them to leave the cupboard open which made life so much easier. Oh I forgot to mention the have a nespresso machine too, I read that on another review so I took some caplets from home, which worked out a lot cheaper than buying from reception. Or you can pick some up from the Spar supermarket just around the corner on the left side. We are a family of walkers so we visited most of the sights by foot, most sights were around 25 mins away, but if you don’t like walking much, then the metro is close by. We took the metro and busses a few times it was very simple. The cheapest way is to buy a T10 card and share it amongst you. The Sagrada familia is beautiful and a short walk away. We bought our tickets online which was good as we could go straight in , but I would advise Do Not waste money going up the towers its definitely not worth it, its not even that high not much of a view and there is only a small place for all of you to stand and only a few meters and in the end you get pushed along . We were there for around 2mins that’s it and we had to pay double. You will get a much better view from montjuic castle and the temple of the sacred hearts of Jesus in Tibidabu which is a must see. over all its a perfect place to stay at.
"Nice Apartment,Great Location & Helpful Staff"
Stayed at the Splendom Suites in Valencia 194, in November & December 2016 for 8 nights with my wife & our 2 boys[18 & 25]. Our 2 bedroom apartment was very clean & the bed were very comfortable. The reception & staff were all very helpful especially Jesús Sánchez. Housekeeping did a great job in servicing our apartment daily. The location is great & is near the Metro. Very close bakeries, a food market & a large supermarket where we bought all of our food for breakfast. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils, but we ate out all times except for breakfast. Nice to have an Nespresso machine in the room & at reception. Initially the shower water pressure was low, this was fixed but this took a couple of days . Second bedroom is relatively small & a bit cramped for space, especially for 2 adults. A few problems with the internet which would drop out at times. Only 3 coffee caps free per day, not enough for 4 people. These are only minor issues which can easily be rectified, except for the size of the second bedroom. Overall, I would highly recommend these apartments & would be very happy to stay there again.
