Set on the city's most opulent axis, where the recently revamped Serrano, Ortega y Gasset and Claudio Coello streets meet.

What's more, one can stroll through the Retiro Park, take in the leading museums or visit the most important financial centres of the metropolis. "Great location for the commercial centre and high end shops"
This hotel is simply lovely - very elegant - boutique feel. Staff were very attentive and they do a great breakfast in a very nice setting overlooking a pretty courtyard. The decor was very impressive - cozy rooms with high ceilings and wonderful floors. Surrounded by lots of great ships and places to eat as well as being walking distance to the business district - I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and they offer their car service to the airport for Euros 30 which is great.
Beautiful boutique hotel strategically located in the fantastic barrio of Salamanca! Rooms are beautiful and comfortable, food is great, service is professional, staff is friendly, smiley, and helpful... Great breakfast with the option of getting gluten and dairy-free meals. Felt like home !
"Wonderful Hotel Boutique"
I always choose Hotel Unico in Madrid for many reasons: it has a great location at Barrio Salamanca, the rooms are nice and very comfortable, fully equipped with Nespresso Coffee Machine, bathrobe, slippers and a choice of pillows, the lounge areas are cozy with appetizers and juices all day, breakfast is very varied with the most delicious freshly baked croissant, but most important is the staff, who are really warm to everyone and go the extra mile to make you feel welcome, comfortable and at home!
"Small intimate hotel"
This is a lovely hotel and the staff are very attentive. We personally found the aircon to be fine although we did not visit in the summer. The staff are excellent and will look after you but are also very discreet. The staff are the biggest reason to go here. Rooms are nice but no better than a decent hotel in any other City, certainly not 'wow'. The only reason I'm not giving them a 5 star is that they don't have a bar. They have an outside area accessed by leaving the hotel and walking round the corner (they give you a waiter call button to get service) and a very small room which we found too stuffy. A good choice if you can get a decent room rate (book through BA when you also book a flight for good rates)
"Stay ruined by inadequate air conditioning"
I stayed in this hotel for one night but my stay was ruined by the fact that the air conditioning wasn't working which meant that the temperature in my room was 25 degrees. I reported the issue to the front desk three times and each time they said that they would fix the problem but never did. I won't be staying there again. A five star Relais & Chateau hotel should handle problems of this nature better.
