Set on the city's most opulent axis, where the recently revamped Serrano, Ortega y Gasset and Claudio Coello streets meet.
Shops selling the most exclusive Spanish and international brands are within a stone's throw of the hotel. What's more, one can stroll through the Retiro Park, take in the leading museums or visit the most important financial centres of the metropolis. If you wish to enjoy the city’s varied cultural offer or its historic centre, they are only a few minutes away.
Excellent location. Very friendly staff. Wonderful personalized service. The lounge is comfortable and classy. The rooms are on the small side but very well appointed. Elegant hotel that I highly recommend.
""Memorable Stay in a Chic and Wonderfully Managed Boutique Hotel""
My husband and I recently returned from a trip to Spain where we had the pleasure of spending three nights in the Hotel Unico Madrid. The hotel is situated in the heart of the upscale Salamanca neighborhood with its beautiful tree-lined streets, high-end boutiques, tempting eateries, and chic local population. After a brief glitch with the air conditioning unit in our hotel room, we were whisked away to upgraded accommodations and treated like royalty. Room and bath were tastefully appointed including luxurious over-sized towels, copious amounts of easy-to-access storage, and beautiful garden views. As other reviewers have noted, lunch in Ramon Freixa's Michelin 2-star restaurant downstairs is not to be missed -- a magical two-hour dining experience with perhaps the best service of any restaurant in recent memory. Indeed, the real difference between this hotel and others in its class would have to be the outstanding personalized service of its staff. A special mention should be made of Management's Raquel and Reception member Alvaro, both of whom went above and beyond to make our time at the hotel a success.
"Boutique hotel in great district"
The rooms are perfect, food excellent and the hotel is situated in a great street full of good shops and very central. Very interesting dinner with 15 different very small but delicious courses. Friendly and helpful.
"Always enjoy Staying there!"
I have decided to stay at the Unico during my visits to Madrid. The hotel's location is the best in the city, next to restaurants, boutiques, parks, etc.. The rooms are cozy and the hotel features a 2 star Michelin restaurant (Ramon Freixa). Finally, it is worth mentioning the staff's friendliness and attentiveness, always there to assist you with your needs.
"A very good boutique hotel in Salamanca district"
This is a very good boutique hotel in Salamanca district which is an upscale neighbourhood for shopping and dining. The rooms are well equipped, the service is friendly, the breakfast is great. MUST try to have a lunch at 2 Michelin star restaurant (Ramon Freixa) which is part of the hotel. Highly recommended if you visit Madrid.
