The Hotel Villa San Pio was born from the union of three villas that gather around the oasis of beautiful romantic garden.
The villas were inspired by Mediterranean plants and architectural elements from art nouveau, including a charming gazebo where guests can have breakfast surrounded by a pleasant smell and color camellias and wisteria.
Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of past times with homely feeling surrounded by tradition and elegance.
Staying at San Pio is perhaps the secret desire of all those who visit Rome.
It is one of the places of greater fascination of the entire city and the testimonies of ancient Rome that here are innumerable, acquire animated contours the moment the street lamps are turned on in the evening.
Stepping out of the hotel and walking through the peaceful roads of the hill, passing by the imposing Benedictine Monastery, the famous public square of the Knights of Malta is reached, where Saint Peter’s Dome can be admired through the famous keyhole of the Grand Priory of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta.
Completely restructured, it harmoniously complements modernity and antique fascination with a refined and elegant style, which is also unmistakably metropolitan and chic.
Everything was just great, I highly recomend this hotel!Comment of B. Marie, Czech Republic the 2016-11-21

Sehr schönes Hotel in sehr guter, ruhiger VillenlageComment of U. Wolf-DIETER, Germany the 2015-07-19

"One Great Hotel!!"
A lovely small hotel, no sauna, no health room, no pool. Just a comfortable, calm and enjoyable hotel with a first rate staff, a real taste of Rome. Very nice rooms, comfortable, clean and inviting. Staff, first rate, every one we met was very helpful. Breakfast, filling and so much better than in the states. Within walking distance of so many sites. Need a cab'Within 3-4 minutes, one is at the door. This is Europe, so rooms may seem small, but they are so nice. The garden walkways between each building are just so pleasant. I feel for the price you cannot do better, an excellant hotel! Due to a flight cancellation, I found out how great the front desk staff was. Unable to reach American Airlines I reached out to Etrrt, may be misspelled, but such a great help. He and a young oriental assistant was so instrumental in assisting us to reach American Airlines, so we could reschedule. He was able to find us a room at thier upscale hotel and arrange cab service to the airport. 'When we departed, the next morning at 4am,a to go breakfast was presented. I could go on , but it all amounts to saying you will love this hotel and its staff. In all my travels this is the number one hotel on my list. When in Rome go to Villa San Pio!! Thank you Villa San Pio, you all were wonderful. We will not remember our rough cancellation by AA, but will never forget Villa San Pio and the superb staff.
We stayed for 3 nights in March. The hotel is amazing!!! Beautiful and a calm villa complex, totally private and peaceful, yet just few minutes walk from the center (Roman forum just 3 minutes away). It was my birthday and we got an amazing room with a huge terase, the hotel staff even surprised me with complimentary birthday champagne. Rooms are clean, have beautiful and calming atmosphere, breakfast is great, staff one of the friendliest, most professional and most polite I've ever seen. Definitely the best choice if you travel to Rome, and want a calm, charming boutique place. We'll be coming back!!! Thank you, the Villa San Pio people!
"First time visit to rome "
Lovely little hotel in great position to visit the main parts of rome lovely staff from the receptionist, waiters and cleaner's great service. Had birthday when we were there waiter brought me couple of bottles of prosecco and some snacks as gift. Realy nice gesture. Breakfast was very good nice selection and service was excellent. Will be going back to rome next year and will definitely be going back to this hotel
"Perfect taste of Rome"
Nicely refurbished old buildings with some garden in the center of Rome. Excellent location in the Aventino, a quiet bourgeois area close to the Circo Massimo. Do not look here for a sauna or a swimming pool. Just a historic taste of Rome.
"Hidden gem in a busy city"
I really enjoyed my stay here. It was a birthday present from my boyfriend so I knew nothing about the place until I arrived. The greeting we received on our late arrival (11pm) was so welcoming and staff where so friendly and accomidating. The staff took time to tell us about what was in the area, the best ways to get to and from the historical sights, provided us with maps, advice on getting around on the metro/buses etc etc... The rooms where a bit surprising as they were not what I expected, which is what I liked about it. Always spotless clean, and the maid always stopped to say hello everyday. Everything had a vintage, antique, shabby-chic feel to it which I really enjoyed. Beds where comfortable, but with all the walking and site seeing I was doing, I fell fast asleep every night without any problems, The bathroom was a decent size and a good strong shower, which I prefer after a long day of walking. Our room was right beside the main door, and I never heard anyone going in and out in the mornings or the evenings, which makes me think it's pretty well soundproofed as I would normally hear everything when I'm in a unknown place... We had breakfast included in our stay, and I found it rather enjoyable. It's in a little cosy sun-room area of the hotel with cute seating both inside for those colder days and outside for warm summer mornings. Eggs, bacon and toast was my choice every morning to set me up for the day, with some fresh fruit and yogurts too. Lots of pastries, cereals, cold meats, and cheeses to pick from too. And of course tea and coffee freshly made at your request. The location itself is in a residential area, which makes getting to a bit hard to find if your not familiar with the area or are using public transport, but that's not a fault of the hotel, I would just recommend researching getting there. It's only about a 5 minute walk from the nearest metro station (once you know where your going) But, as its in a residential area, it's so peaceful and has a certain tranquility about it that gave it a very romantic feel. I'd happily come back here again if I ever return to Rome. It really was a real treat to stay here.
