Located near the Vatican City, the hotel is just a few minutes away from Rome’s historic centre and its many marvellous monuments and finest shops and boutiques.
This hotel is quite far out of the center of town, and my room was reserved for me because I had meetings nearby. The surroundings are hilly, and everything, including the nearest grocery, is a 20 minute walk from the hotel. I was not told about the shuttle, and didn't find out about it until near the end of my stay. The room itself was okay, with free wifi and all the basic amenities. I could have used a second electrical outlet, and the temperature was not controllable inside the room, but by leaving the windows open at night, I could get comfortable. I ate at the hotel restaurant twice. The pasta was good, the pizza less so. The service was reasonably good. Front desk service was fairly attentive, but lacked warmth. I did overhear one clerk treat an older couple rather rudely. Do not sit in the weird (not unattractive) modern furniture in the lobby! It is only a foot off the floor and unstable; I was not the only one of my colleagues to be dumped unceremoniously onto the lobby floor by her chair!
"Ok to sleep and have breakfast at."
The hotel was very nice the room was ok shower a little dirty but nothing some elbow grease wouldn't sort. We stayed for 2 nights and mainly used it has a place to sleep and have breakfast didn't use the gym or bar so can't review this sorry. Staff ok didn't do anything for use to think wow and on the second night we got a phone from reception at about 12.40am saying no TV somebody had complained about the noise it was only on volume 16 and we was only watching the news channel has this was about the only thing in English. We had no problems with the free shuttle from hotel to local town centre just a shame it's only available till about 5.45pm it also only fits 8 people so if you don't book with reception you might not get on. On average a taxi from this hotel to the local town was about €15 we found app Ittaxi very good could see what sort of price it was going to be they picked up your location with GPS and told you how long they will be with live updates very good.
Stayed here for my birthday. Staff very friendly and go out of their way to help you. Shuttle bus very good but make sure you are waiting before the pick up time in centre as they don't wait too long. Food at hotel excellent. Highly recommend this hotel.
"Functional, comfortable out of town base"
This hotel is very modern about 15 minutes outside of the centre of Rome. The Hotel offers a regular FREE shuttle service that drops you within easy walking distance of the Vatican but if you don't want to wait for the next shuttle the local taxi's can be called by reception and arrive quickly. (12€ to the Vatican) The staff were super friendly and helpful. All spoke good English. The rooms were modern and comfortable but we couldn't find how to turn the heating down and it was warm. The Hotel is set at the end of a residential road with little immediately nearby but if you walk out for 10 minutes there are places to eat and drink that are much more reasonable than the hotel prices or indeed the rip off in the centre of town. a typical continental breakfast is available with juices, tea/coffee, breads, ham/cheese, cake and fruit. Nicely laid out and with a good selection. As a base to explore it was functional and cheaper than being in the City. This is more business hotel than tourist but the excellent customer service makes it worth considering.
"Beautiful, modern, clean, friendly"
We stayed here for 3 nights in January. We arranged for the hotel transfer from the airport for €60 which was well worth it as we arrived at 9pm and would have been too tired to find our way to the hotel. Transfer was a beautiful Mercedes and the driver was very friendly. Staff at reception helped us with everything we needed. We used the shuttle service each morning which had to be booked the night before. Shuttle was like a mini bus and was right outside the hotel door. Breakfast was lovely, pastries, bread, cereals, fruit and other things too. Room service was fine, beds were made and fresh towels each day. Shower was a bit frustrating as it couldn't make up its mind wether to burn or freeze you. Beds were huge and comfortable enough. Train station is nearby, about a 10 minute walk away. The trains and metros are so easy to use, really accessible and run frequently. All in all an amazing short break and we would definitely stay here again.
