A very nice hotel and very well located. Just at little smile in the reception and assistance with the luggage was missing.Comment of L. Per , Denmark the 2015-09-07

"A centralised hotel in Shanghai"
This is a fabulous hotel for the price. The staff are very curtious and knowledgeable. The foyer is beautifully laid out with sumptuous carpets and grand marble flooring. The bar is to one side of the foyer and has a reasonable selection of drinks for the average person. On the other side of the foyer, an area sells fresh cakes and pastries plus soft drinks if required. The rooms are a good size, which in our case had two double beds of superior quality. A fridge and coffee facilities are available with, in my opinion a must, wine glasses actually in the room. we were given an upgrade on arrival to a larger club room which was very good. This is a very centralised hotel near the pedestrianised Nanjing road so not far to walk for the ardent shopper. I recommend this hotel highly.
"Good location but low service "
We stay for 3 nights in room 2608 , room is quiet big, just like junior suites but if I see the condition of the room , seems like they don't care about it !1st day here , I was Schock how they order a taxi for us 😏 we asked front office to order taxi and he said I have to ask concierge , and we did asked and what he done is just stand outside and act like a prince🤔 more than half hour we wait, and still have to use my own phone to call taxi (which is the Prince does for us), at the end, I have to go back to front office and complained about the service I just had 😠 !for 4**** nearly to 5* , let me say this hotel have no idea about hospitality at all !!breakfast can be better and location is pretty good !but for sure , will be not back here again , for the money we paid , can get another much better 4* or even 5* arround !!!!
"Very nice stay"
Beautiful lobby greets you from the hustling streets of Shanghai. Check in was efficient and clerk spoke English well. Room was quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful of both Chinese and American dishes. I would return.
"Location leaves something to be desire."
The hotel is located along the famious pedestrian shopping street, which I did not know was also the red light district. Each time I left the hotel I was harassed by people selling knock offs or massages. "Beautiful women' Massage'" And they don't take no for an answer. They follow you, ask questions, and I had to yell "no. Go Away" only to have another one approach. But then to have them knock on my door on the tenth floor of the hotel at night, asking if I wanted a massage was not acceptable to me. I told the manager who was quite professional, and comp'd us breakfast. She investigated and said the room next door had ordered the service. But how these street women got up to the tenth floor of the hotel, wandering around, was never explained. Otherwise the hotel was immaculate and modern, nice room and bath. Internet was not good but this is China. Staff were okay, some acted like I was imposing on them when I had questions, but this is the Chinese culture. Many do ot know how to provide customer service. The coffee at breakfast was horrible, but when I asked for fresh coffee, this was provided. Breakfast was quite a spread. The Chinese restaurant in the hotel building was questionable. They did not speak english and ignored us, so we left. This was rude. One electric outlet did not work and after several phone calls, someone finally did fix it.
"Top class hotel in perfect location"
The hotel is perfectly situated near east banking road. The room was spacious and clean. The lights however being worked off a electronic pad were awful. The staff were very know-legible and keen to advise destinations and authentic restaurants. A very pleasant experience and I will stay at this hotel again.
