"Contemporary hotel in the heart of Seattle"
Actually my second time at this property. The hotel is actually in the same building as the apartment complex Olive 8 and occupy the first 17 levels. It is within walking distance to most of the local landmarks except EMP and the space needle, but one can just walk down a few blocks and take the monorail there. The fitness center has a good spread of equipment, but at 20 yards, the pool was quite a bummer. The hotel does not have a lounge, but the restaurant at the lobby has pretty good breakfast items *cough* get the benedict *cough cough*. I really love that you can just order anything from shampoo to a crib on TV. For someone that hates talking on the phone, this is a god-send. Compared to its sister property, the Grand Hyatt next door, this hotel has a more business and contemporary vibe, but you really can't go wrong with Hyatt.
"Great Weekend Stay"
I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. I travel quite a bit, but this was my first time to Seattle and Hyatt made it that much more enjoyable. I was there for a Seahawks game and had a corner room on a high floor with a gorgeous view. The room was very clean and spacious. The location was amazing! Close enough to the stadium and plenty of places to eat and things to do.
"Thanksgiving sty Hyatt At Olive 8"
My daughter lives in Seattle and we stayed for four nights over the thanksgiving holiday there. This hotel has the best pool and gym areas I have experienced at at Hyatt hotel. I used the showers at the pool every day during my stay. Everything is provided, including razor blades and robes. The gym is spectacular. There is a separate yoga room with kettle bells, matts, and steps. It also has the usual treadmills, rowing machine, ellipticals, bikes, and free weights. The rooms are typical, however not the most comfortable beds but after I asked the maids for more pillows I slept well. The manager, Andriel Scharff, sent a welcome email prior to arrival so we were made aware of the thanksgiving parade and fireworks. Thank you Andriel! However, the concierge working that night was clueless about it. I asked where was the best place to few the fireworks and at first he didn't know it was even happening then he said not here. Our room had great views of the pyrotechnical display. Yes I will stay again. This Hyatt did not disappoint me.
"Staycation in the city"
Have stayed at Olive8 in the past and always have a great experience. The facilities are always clean and the staff is always polite and helpful. The workout facility is well appointed with equipment that isn't broken or beat up
"Convenient Downtown Location"
I decided to stay here during my regular business trips to Seattle as it was not far from my meeting venue. The hotel is a very green and sustainable building. My room was very contemporary with sleek modern furnishings. I liked the huge shower with great water pressure. The saline pool and fitness center were both nice. I enjoyed the steam room. There were, however, a couple of issues I encountered during my stay. One was that the elevator was being serviced which almost made me late for my afternoon meetings. The other was the noise upstairs that woke me up late at night. Other than those issues, I would return here.
