"A pleasant stay"
Enjoyed staying at the Hyatt Harborside in Boston. Convenient location and clean and well-appointed rooms; happily, there was virtually NO noise from the airport, although I could see a runway from my room on the 9th floor (what a view!). Staff are helpful and professional; and, try dinner in the hotel restaurant, despite being tremendously busy on one evening, the food was great and the waitstaff attentive.
Staying at the Hyatt Boston Harbor for a business training. A Sunday night through mid-Wednesday. When I checked I was offered a smaller bed for a harbor view. I immediately took them up on the offer. Beautiful room with an amazing view. On the 7th floor, I am sure that it was even better higher up. Room was clean, well lit, with all the needs for modern travel. excellent wi-fi, many plugs etc. The shower had good pressure and was very clean. Beds were comfortable. At at the hotel's grill on Sunday, food was very good. Breakfast and lunch were catered by the hotel the other days. Really above par. The only issue is the hotel is across the harbor from Boston proper, so it isn't just a walk or even a jump on the "T" to get around. On the other a Water Taxi, is a very cool way to get across. Even with limited running hours it is just a unique way of transportation that you shouldn't miss. On a side note they have a running path along the harbor too.
"Nice view of the harbor"
So I was here in Boston the previous month. After moving around in Europe, I came back for a reset, to continue to a different continent. I booked here so I can get support to ship my luggage back home and reload with warm clothes. I shipped my clothes here and my package was waiting for me. Upon arrival to the airport, I called for shuttle service and it arrived within 10 minutes and took me to the hotel. The driver was very helpful. He even carried my luggage for me. Since I had a reservation, check in was quick and painless. The concierge was helpful in helping me ship my clothes back. The lobby is already decorated for the holiday spirit. I stayed on the 7th floor and had a great view of the harbor. The bed is very plush and comfy. There is even a health club in the lobby next to the elevators. Overall, a pleasant stay but I noticed they do not have a place to hang towels in the bathroom and their drain was very slow in the tub. Only one night here, resting, resetting; at 4:30 am, there was an accidental wake-up call ring. Ugh! Did you really have to do that' I need all the sleep I can have before my next flight.
This hotel is amazing. It is so clean, and the staff were so gracious. We came here for a weekend getaway and it was the most perfect room. The views of the Boston skyline at night and then waking up to it was breathtaking, we didn't want to leave!
While I will say that the staff at this Hyatt where friendly and polite, I would also say that the shuttle driver was very friendly. However I will never stay at a Hyatt again. I was traveling from the Cape and wanted to get on a 7:00am flight from Logan so I decided to stay at the Hyatt. I booked a room witch had a deal that you would pay for the room in full right away. So I book it and the next day I saw that only my airline had pulled their money. A few days passed and they still did not take their money. Well I had to ship an expensive bag, I put it on the card the hotel was on. Then I called twice to pay off the reservation before I got there, but the lady said I couldn't do that, She didnt even pull up my reservation or ask my name. She said I could only pay for it at check in. So the next day I go to check in and they say your card was declined, well then I went to the atm and on the same card that was declined I pulled moey to pay the hotel. I got to the desk and said I will pay cash well they told me a new total then the computer said. The computer said it was the room cost plus tax but they said it was that plus fifty dollars deposit on the room that I would get back, But I didnt have that much on my card and so it was declined. Not having enough to stay because of the extra fiftty the lady gave me a new total, being all the money I had, so I payed it and only had $5 to travel on, no dinner. I also wanted to swim but they got rid of their pool. I later relised that had they taken the money when they where supposed to, I had enough to cover the deposit and then would have just not shipped my bag saving me the money and so on. Also I ended up paying MORE for my room because in the end I will not get a deposit back because I payed in cash. So I had to be broke, and feel bad while paying more for the room because Hyatt messed up and didn't do what they where supposed to.
